Cool! Thanks, glad you guys like it. No way I would have done this if I hadn't got the main structure for $20. I don't think i've seen the structure floor by itself for less than $20.

So, my Skystriker was looking a little grungy now that I made my Flagg look a little nicer.

Got some labels from Cobrastickers, and now I've got a like new Skystriker on deck.

Ugh! Just thinking about putting on all those NO STEP stickers is making my brain hurt.

Thanks, I believe I'm only missing a couple of ladders and the armory insert for the inside, I have the ladder for the outside and its twin coming. Actually the ship wheel wasn't too bad, the purge valve is very pricy on its own, but I bought the majority of the inside stuff in a lot (simpler and cheaper shipping). Wanted to get the flag and the net radar but with the plywood under it I don't think I have the room now. Still debating on the fuel tank and car.

Ah yes! I forgot about that damn purge valve.

As I recall the HQ flag is the same part, just with different decals and a different colour (dark grey rather than dark green), if you want to try out the clearance for it. Also, the radar sticks way out the back, you might need to pull the whole thing to the edge of your desk.

Very nice!

I never knew how many small parts a Flagg really is made up of until I got mine nearly complete a few years back. Other than the biggest pieces of deck everything is pretty small and light. One can start with a deck and get something pretty serviceable without spending a fortune all at once.

You now need to pick up the refueling car!

(Have you decided whether or not to "fill in" the interior of the conning tower? The ships wheel is the most expensive piece, the rest are pretty cheap.)

I missed out on the 25th Joe stuff that was essentially updates to the original ARAH guys and very cool. Never bothered to track them down since it seemed they released a minimum of 5 repaints/remolds of each character then made some con or collectors club exclusives so they were more expensive than the ARAH originals.

I picked up a few of the newer ones but it quickly seemed to me that the window had passed. Seems they'll need a new movie or show now to re-introduce the line with new or re-imagined characters. I don't suppose that'll draw me in unless the characters have personality like the old 80's toon guys had.

At least the KRE-O stuff was awesome while it lasted.

Hasbro are trying to make a Cinematic Universe of their toy brands like Marvel's Cinematic Universe and the DC one. Everybody's about cinematic universes these days after seeing the success Marvel's had. Universal are trying to start a Robert Ludlum one using his other books with Bourne. Sony wanted to do one with Spider-Man related characters until ASM2 didn't do as well as they wanted. Fox are trying it with the X-Men spin-offs.

So all Hasbro care about is trying to get people to be interested in the brands to then get them to go see the movies.

Of course we're all aware of this (you forgot that insanely bad idea Universal monster one). What I don't see where they think a Hascon is relevant to those plans. Even DC and Marvel don't have any specific brand cons I'm aware of other than the major comicons a couple times a year. Great, make a crappy movie with Max Tracker joining GI Joe to fight the Purple Pieman but does Hasbro really think the con attending audience for Strawberry Shortcake merch wants to be within 3 states of a Joe con attendee, and vice-versa? I can totally see some marketing person at Hasbro, dreaming with stars in their eyes, about a Hascon with an SD Comicon level of excitement and media coverage. It's never gonna happen. Maybe in some insane future there could be a theme park based on Hasbro lines that's family friendly and a tourist destination but to torpedo the older established cons?

Nothing like a 100% corporate version of what should be a purely fan event. I wonder what Hasbro thinks to gain by glombing together a bunch of brands at a single HasCon other than saving on traveling to multiple cons in a year. If they think some corporate marketing department is capable of maintaining a semblance of fan interaction after the slightest downturn in sales they are in for a rude awakening. They'll be right back to letting some licensor deal with all the headaches of running a con/website/figure subscription service. Also, if they think to make it some kind of adult collector catering, kid oriented promotional hybrid event I can see that being a real kiddie centric result with adult fans staying away in droves.

What about Battle Force 2000?! WHAT ABOUT BATTLE FORCE 2000!?!?!?!?!?

How come you leave the helmets on some but not others?

Otherwise very nice. Still collecting TF figs or missing for some other reason?

Is it just me or is the IG black gun the tightest fit other than SA fig weapons? I'm always scared I'm gonna break a thumb.
