SPONSOR SECTION / BHT In Store Sale - THIS FRIDAY - 20% off EVERYTHING!
« on: November 28, 2012, 06:31:55 PM »
Bounty Hunter Toys will be having a 20% off sale this Friday between 10:30am to 9pm.

This is coincide with the Christmas event taking place on the street at night from 4pm to 9pm.
It's one day only - and yes, I know Friday is a strange time to have it, but that's the date the Ottawa St. BIA decided on.

Hopefully you guys can make it - I know not everyone can due to distance and work, etc. But 20% off of ALL items in the store?.. Where else can you get that type of deal with less than a month to go until Christmas??!

ESPECIALLY if you're looking for a U.S.S. Flagg.... which we have... set up at the store... ;)

Yearly CanJoeCon Discussion / Black Ice Comparison Heads
« on: September 11, 2012, 11:15:27 PM »
In the "What's on Joe Mind? : Canadian Joe Con 2012" Podcast, I make a mention that we originally had another head offered to us for use with Black Ice.

We... More specifically, I didn't like it, not at all. It wasn't "Mean" enough... I wanted a new head. One that said "I'm going to kick your teeth down your throat, then reach down there, grab them, and make a keychain out of them!".

Jason Loo took that, drew up some profile pics, and I sent them in - awaiting my new "kickass" Black Ice head.

Well, here's that original head, with the new "kickass" head for comparison.

You're welcome. ;)

SPONSOR SECTION / Bounty Hunter Toys - BIG News
« on: September 04, 2012, 08:48:01 AM »
Re-Opening on September 29th, 2012 at 118 Ottawa St. North in Hamilton, Ontario.

Larger store (than the old one), more product! Located on one of the busiest and most popular streets in Hamilton, which just happens to be the same street that the first ever Tim Horton's opened on! ;)

I invite you all to stop by that Saturday and check out all the G.I. Joe and other toy goodies that most people don't even know I have.

Parking is sparse, but there's a small strip plaza 4 doors down that you can park in as well.

For those unaware, BHT was a collectible and toy store in Hamilton from 2000-2006. It was shut down of my own doing due to a couple of private reasons, and as many here can attest, it was THE place for Joe items in Southern Ontario. It may be again one day.... ;)

SPONSOR SECTION / BHT at CJC - Sorta..?
« on: August 06, 2012, 12:13:12 PM »
Normally, I have tables set up at the Convention with someone else running it for me.
This year will be no different - except the product I bring will be....

Usually, like all other vendors, I bring loose/complete figures, vehicles, etc and some packaged stuff.

This year, I may not be bringing anything loose, as I just bought a rather large collection of EMPTY boxes with inserts, etc.
There's about 160 boxes, mainly G.I. Joe, with some Star Wars, D&D, Indiana Jones, etc. All vintage.

I spent all day yesterday, and this morning going through each one, cleaning, sorting, and putting complete vehicles/figures in them where I had them.

In short, the boxes will all be there - but I doubt my loose figures will be.
Just a heads up in case you were hoping to stop by my spot and go through my figures and $2.00 bin.

- Mike

PS- If you want to see a sample of some of what I picked up - look below:

Yearly CanJoeCon Discussion / Second CanJoeCon Vehicle
« on: July 30, 2012, 10:49:06 AM »
Due to unforeseen circumstances outside our control, we will be unable to offer the 2nd smaller vehicle for our 2012 Convention set by the convention date. As a result, sets will now cost $175. Those that have pre-ordered a con set will be given a $5.00 refund at the convention upon pick up of your set, or a full refund of your purchase should you wish to cancel your pre-order. The 2nd vehicle was originally projected to cost $5.00 to produce, and was a last minute addition to the set with no increase to the cost. Final costs came back MUCH higher however, and we had to pull it. We will elaborate more on this during the Staff Q&A at the convention, however we can not go into the details of it at the current time.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Heroes Force
Heroes Force is a line of action figures produced by promotional products specialty company Think Drink Inc. The initial product offering (First Edition) represented the three branches of the Canadian Military: The army (represented by the figure Sperry); the AirForce (represented by the figure Thibodeau) and the navy (represented by the figure Watson). Each member of armed forces is decorated with the Canadian flag on their uniform and is approximately four inches tall and realistic in all aspects of uniform and gear. The figure is a tribute to the Canadian military, and $1.00 from each figure sold is being donated to the “Soldier On” fund. Initially the product was done as a tribute, but success in its popularity has developed into a series of new figures with military accessories. For a full description of the products unique history and story, visit www.heroesforce.com
