G.I. JOE P.I.T. Mobile Headquarters @ Toys'R'Us / Wal~Mart
« on: July 17, 2009, 10:54:35 AM »

TRU Kitchener had a half dozen or so of these out this morning.  Price is $139.99.

They also had the whole shelf full of Accelerator Suit Dukes @ $119.99.  At that price I'd be very surprised if they sold even one of those things.

If only the 30% off sale applied to the Pitt. It's a playset I've really come to appreciate based on reviews.

Let us know if you get The Pit. I have nowhere to keep it so I am not getting one, but I find it a pretty interesting Joe item. Sorta like a MCC crossed its DNA with the Rolling Thunder.

I can see this one getting marked down a bit in the near future. I still have no room for one so it won't do me much good. Glad to hear the reviews are positive, I haven't read any yet.

It's ugly as sin in "vehicle mode" and some of the parts are a bit flimsy, but overall I would say it has more play value than I initially gave it credit for.

My Hawk figure came with two left hands though, which really sucks!!

That's kinda lame about Hawk. Hasbro may be willing to sort that out for you...or you could talk yourself into it being a super-rare variant. :)

Aint that the truth.  I wonder what it would look like without wheels.  So it's just a stationary PIT (who woulda' "thunk "huh?!)

Not like I have the space for it either, but what turns me off slightly is the cardboard pieces.  Yes I've read quite a few reviews that mention the cardboard pieces are very few, but really if you're paying $100-$150 for this thing, couldn't Hasbro at least make plastic box crates/rocks and a plastic rectangle with four stands for a ping pong table?  I mean when they went over budget in the research and design did it really have to come down to the ping pong table and some crates/rocks to cut?

It's $100 at Target.  Waiting for a sale.  I did by the Raven for $40 though.

General Hawk: Technically, G.I. Joe does not exist, but if it did, it\'d be comprised of the top men and women from the top military units in the world, the alpha dog\'s. When all else fails, we don\'t.

It's too big for my house and too expensive. I could see kids really digging this. Does it come with Hawk? If so for $100 they could at least get his hands right. That's kinda funny.
