Mental note, try and get the office to schedule my Alberta building inspections for March next year. lol

Hmmmmm.... I think a Toy Show section may be a good idea....
Then again.... all these great sections would sure work alot better with more people around here! :-)

Hmmm, very, very interesting! Do we have to pay $5 to get in for the collector hour and then another $3 for the rest of the day? Any good prospects for finding some Joe stuff?
-
Nopw, if you pay for the collector hour, you're in for the day. If you come after noon, you only have to pay $3 and you're in for the day. There should be some GI Joe stuff there (i may have a little bit) and i know of a few other collectors who might be set up with some stuff. Either way, it should be a really good show...
Pete, next year's show should be in March as well...are you in Edmonton often? If so, let me know next time you come around and we'll hook up.
-
Yep,I
'll be there for the collectors hour.Don't want to miss out on any good stuff.I blame Shane for my recent start of recollecting Joes. That Locust was too much to resist.I have been buying like crazy every since.I really helps that I know I still have all my childhood stuff at my parents house in the States.I can't wait to get down there to get it.It's like I am waiting for Christmas or something.lol

I'm worse than any of those drug dealers your mom's warned you about when you were kids. ;) :D

Well the plan is for me to go Edmonton once a year to do annual building inspections of 4 properties. When, that is up in the air. I was just there for a 6 month review in November.

Well, either way Pete...drop me a line next time you come through and i'll take you to a few shops.
-
Hold up.What shops?
-
Whyte Knight, Comic Fever and the Antique Mall, which are pretty much the only places to get vintage Joes around town. Unfortunately, there's never anything super great there but they have their moments.
-
Never heard of Comic Fever .I may have to check it out.I have been to each of the other two a few times and bought Joes there. They do have their moments.
-
Yes, what shops in Edmonton?
-
So who went to this show? Was it any good? Any good finds?
-
Well, naturally, i was there. ;)
We had about 800 people come through the doors (which compared to 300+ last year was phenominal) and there was an incredibly wide selection of stuff up for grabs from a LOT of different sellers. I picked up a boxed Mobile Command Center for $40 (he originally wanted $20 but i talked him up ;) ) and a boxed WHALE Hovercraft for $10. I also picked up a few Joe cardbacks and some other vintage SW and TF items...all told it was a great show!
