Since i am going to start army building again, i thought i'd make this post.

also, i looked through a bunch of threads to make sure noone posted this in a while, and couldnt find anything.

ahem..

1: in what numbers does everyone army build?

2: whats the most you have of one army builder?

3: If you are not a big army builder, why do you only get 2 or 3 of any army builder? wouldnt you like to have like 50 troops all lined up in rows of 5, doesn't that look awesome?

lol wait till i get a dam camera, you'll see some armys all right, lol..

anyway, i will answer my own questions..

1: 90% of the time i army build in 10's, meaning i like to get 10 at a time.

2: top 3 armys: 1: b.a.t pack b.a.t's(140)(i went nuts a while back)
                        2: Red VvV vipers(60)
                        3: light blue alley vipers(not the VvV)(20)

I never have more than 6 of a figure. I made an exception for the Cobra Infantry Packs because they're my favorite Cobra troop.

I have 12 Cobra Infantry (+ 2 more packs MOCC (mint on curved card - oops)

I have 5 Fast Draws
and SIX Cobra Coils

I also have some red and blue Alley Vipers and 3 Python Tele Vipers

My army is huge!

I've ended up with a whackload of Alley Vipers and Infantry Vipers thanks to their regular release in the last four years. Mostly, I have the purple Viper that came with Mirage v3. The only other Viper I have more than a couple of is the HEAT Viper, which I have about ten of in total.

I also have two Infantry packs and two CG OCS packs. I'm considering buying the two Crimson sets out there now, but I don't want my elite troops to outnumber my regular infantry.

I used to army build.

I did it as follows:

1 perfect complete figure to pack up for the official "collection"

5 to display.

These rules did not apply, of course, to the certain army builders I loved - I would get as many of those as I could (black/purple vipers, etc)

I am for any where from 3 for specialists - 6 for regular infantry, and then 9 or 12 for the figures I really like.

A terror drome just looks a zillion times better with a dozen or so of the same troop kicking around.

Yeah those new crimson guards there making are nice, the ones with the tank/3 guards, and those 6 packs..

i gotta find a way to get some of those 6 packs for sure, but the tank sets are easy to get.

also 2 more things, i just went to wal mart on decarie and got the baroness/hard drive and  the t-crotch crap kamakura/destro, and the battle hornet with the lemon neo viper(i will be army building lemon neo's)

anyway, what can i do with all these battle points i have? hasbro's site says those storm shadows are only shipped within the states? any ideas?

1. I army building multiples of 8, 24 being my fave number for an armybuilder.

2. I have about 40-50 of the Wave 5 IG, I think that's my largest one.

I only army build guys that I like, and not just for the sake that they have a Viper name attached to the figure.  There some that take the later to another level.

1) Numbers.  Older figures I like, I use to army build to a minimum of 20.  Newer ARAH figures, it depends on what I can get.  But I don't army build the new sculpts. I tried for week and couldn't do it.

2) The most.  Now do you include the 4 new Cobra Infantry Soldiers as one or four seperate builders? Same with the new Crimson Guards from the OCS set?  Regardless, the 2004 Cobra Infantry is what I have most of.  V1 bats is the most of any vintage figure I have (30)

3) 2 or 3 figures.  I only do this for vehicle drivers like Strato Vipers, Motor Vipers and Ice Vipers.  I only get enough to equip a vehicle that I own.  Having any more doesn't make any sence as they are not front line infantry troops like Cobra Soldiers and Vipers.

And being a completist has forced me to cut back on vintage army building anyways. I rather get an Infantry pack with 6 guys over a vintage Cobra Soldier.  Besides the fact you can build an instant army, there are more + with the new infantry figures over the originals.

I army build a little...Iron Grenadiers are my fav. so I go after them...!

Any body army build...heats, hydros, or toxos...I have 10 to 20 of each for trade...all complete near mint V1's...?!?!?

I'm not huge into army building, and as I have no interest in any (save a few) joes from post-1990, my army building choices are limited and can be expensive.  

I'm usually happy with 5-8 of each.  My display space is limited so I find armys in this amount get the job done and give the illusion of an 'army'.

I would love to see what 30 v1 bats look like all lined up.  I have 7, which I find look good standing behing dr mindbender.  I also have 5 vipers and 5 cobra blueshirts with one cobra officer.  A couple eels, 3 royal guards, 2 crimson guards, and a handful of random vipers round out my 'armys'.  I'm mostly a 'one of' collector, but will add to these armys when the opportunity arises.  

I'd like to keep typing, but the boss is telling me I have to get to work.
Maybe I'll add some more later..
