How long do you guys wait to call out someone publicly for failing to live up their end of a bargain?
In my case, all signs are pointing in getting screwed out of 300 bucks. This is based on two weeks of piss poor communication (not returning my latest two PMs). I don't know what to make of this except that I have lost all patience. The other party is a board member.

This is a good start. Kind of like a warning before getting into details.

Maybe let them know that you would prefer any option other than 'calling them out', but that the wheels are in motion. basically ensure that they know this thread exists.
Good luck - hope everything works out for you.

Three unanswered PMs requesting an update, then one more saying "please reply or I will be forced to bring this to the public boards."

Is it a paypal transaction? 2 weeks no communication is pretty warrented. Trust your gut, its usually right in most cases

What Scramble suggests is very reasonable. 300$ is no negligeable amount. I hope that the other member can step up and honor his end. Good luck man.

Sorry to hear that.. Good luck man!

I am still not trying to jump the shark on this. I know this site has had PM issues in the past.

I hear you. I had someone weasel out on me with a Con set I picked up for him.
-
can you try emailing him or contacting him in another way?

Seems pretty reasonable.
Even more so after two weeks.

I'd say try Scambles approach, give it one more week then all bets are off after that as far as I'd be concerned. It should not push a month without recourse especially if the communication was good pre-transaction.

I took Ryan's approach did and it worked.
Well. back to painting the future Joe display room.
