It is pretty lame but I am going because I live a few blocks away from where it is held if anybody wants one (Im going to try to take a friend so they can get the 5 of each too). Im just not digging the new sculpts at all really. The crotch piece still looks a little funny...

Wow, a lot to read but worth it. I like how you had detailed photos of what parts they were and how you got them to work together. This event sounds cool!!!! Master Collector could take some hints from you guys!!! Hope to make it there next year to take part in some events!!!!

Is there a picture of the vehicle with the Driver (Winning figure?). Id like to see it if possible.

Thanks!!! That Pogo is sweet!!! So is the other tank to the left (is that made from the Paralyzer or Sonic Boom tank??). Very cool customs.

Actually I bought the Black Ice figure last year for 350.00 and let me tell you, that doesnt even come CLOSE to a ticket to Canada from San Diego.....

I looked into coming this year but work wouldnt allow it and the plane ticket alone was close to 800.00....
I was thinking of bidding on the Shiver (and emailed the seller) but will wait for # 30 to hit ebay so that the money spent goes towards next years show. Im not just a crazy completist but these figures are very cool and seem like great characters that Cobra has for their arctic unit (which is why I wanted them in the first place). I dont want people thinking the wrong thing here. I know they are customs and have no intention on getting them to re-sell. They will be part of my collection for years and years, just dont have the time and money to fly to Canada to pick them up is all  :wink:

I appreciate your honesty Mike. Too bad there wasnt enought time to make 100 of em  ;D but could you at least warn me when youre going to ebay off the extra one? I bet Ill have to start saving soon because of the response Shiver has had. Either way congrats on these exclusives!! They have caught the eye of many collectors and Im sure they will go down in "joe history" as some of the nicest looking convention figures ever produced, even if on a small scale.

Is there anyway to do a "homefront heroes" package for US guys? I REALLY WANT this figure to duel with my Black Ice that I won on ebay last year, but dont want to bid against others and pay over 300.00 for one. Id have loved to come out there this year and intend on making at least one of these cons soon, but I cannot afford it this year and work has been crazy.

Nope, hasnt gotten here yet. Not too sure he is going to like the weather here that much either!!! :)

I will take a picture of him on the beach, so you can see how far he travelled though. Ill post it here when he arrives. Thanks again for letting me take part and owning a piece of your Canadian Joe history.

Thanks for the support guys. I truly am happy with my purchase, as I feel that the Black Ice figure is easily the best Convention piece Ive ever seen. Im happy to help fund the next Joe Meet you guys have, but am not sure how much it would cost to travel to Canada for a Con....BUT, please do keep me in mind as an "At Home" participant. Id gladly help again next year for the next exclusive. Thanks again, and Im excited to get him in the mail. He is definately in a good home.

Wow, about 10 minutes left and Im still in the race!!!! Hell, Ill sponser your shows for 100.00 each year for an exclusive figure if they are this cool. Thanks for the opportunity to bid on one of these, even though Im not in Canada!!!! (although I used to live 20 mins from Windsor).....
