No problem. Don't change your plans to go early though. We'll meet at the meeting otherwise

After talking to Raptor, he's offered to help if you need it Scramble.

So Scramble, do with it what you wish.
It's your project now. :-)
Mike

On a side note, I'll be buying some boxes of packs for the meet......... and most likely the store and site as well. :shifty:

Yeah.......packs.
I called today. I 'should' have them by Tuesday.
I'm not going to carry any starter decks however.

The Starter Set is a pretty good deal for a new player, but from a seller's point of view I don't think you should get them. A card store can, that's what they're for. You're bringing them in at the demand of people who already play, and starters aren't worth getting multiples of.

I've got to get thinking about what I'm going to do with my new assignment. :)

Just a thought, if I can make some good looking Joe Wrestlers, then we'll use the NEW Smackdown vs Raw game. If not, then it's back to the one from two years ago...... you know... the one that I used to toss Loop out of the Royal Rumble in 4 seconds with!

I'm looking forward to playing (and having my butt handed to me) the card game - I've got a bunch of but no one wants to play with me.

Raptor, I thought it was just going to be casual play and tutorial. With Mike's permission, I could run a small tournament, and the game does play fast enough that it could be done in an hour if we do it bracket style, best two of out three advances. I run miniature gaming tournaments as a second job, so I am qualified and experienced with such things.

Plus I look good in a hat.

I bow to greater experience and to more humility. I'm happy to serve in any capacity that I can support you in this endevor. As mike eluded to, I want to help, but I just don't have the time to organize.

Seriously though, tourney or not I think it would be good to let people know this is hapening and maybe et a sign up list oin so tat people know to bring the cards.

Then I'll have to start working now on a deck to defeat and publicly humiliate you. I mean, maybe we should do a demonstration match to show the game off so that people who are interested can watch.

Yeah, that's what I meant...

Maybe I'm mistaken, but isn't gabbing about it here a way of letting people know it's going down? Sure, Mike will probably post the event on other boards but unless he plans on postering at the major comic shops in the GTA, we're already advertising.

If we're playing demo games, it's probably best that your deck show a wide range of cards rather than actually be any good. Afterall, we'll probably be explaining our boost cards and why we chose them to the on-lookers, so it wouldn't be competitive.

Then we could go all out, face to face, cheek to cheek.

If I have time I'll post them on other boards......... but ummm.... you're all pretty welcome to do so as well!!! :-)
You don't need my permission to promote this site or the Canadian Joe Meet. :-)

Post away! Just give the www.joecanuck.com url instead of the direct one to the board.

March 26th, 2005 will be the next Canadian Joe Meet!

Well that sucks.
As I looked on a calender today, I noticed that March 26th is Easter weekend.

Obviously the date is going to have to be pushed back guys.
I'd rather not have it Easter weekend, and I'm sure many others would agree with that.

Any suggestions on a 'new' date?

Anyone opposed to APRIL 9th?
