never know what to say in these things. Think of the most clever thing you\'ve ever heard and then pretend I said it here.

that would be strange especially if they just launched ToysRus.ca

why spend more money in a country when you are going to close up all of your retail operations?

Hey, I didn't know about the web site. Thanks for the heads up. I didn't see any G.I. Joe stuff listed on the web site so I wrote them an email asking if they planned to carry G.I. Joe on line and if there was any chance they would get some of the exclusives up here either in store or on line. I went as far as to request the Cobra Urban strike team and Anti Venom sets.
I'm hoping everyone here on this board could take 5 minutes and email them as well (customerservice.ca@toysrus.com) and see if we can let them know that if they bring the figures here, we will buy them. I forgot to mention the comic 3 packs, so maybe someone else could mention them.
Anyhow, spend 5 mintues and write them a polite email and maybe by Christmas time we might see some of this stuff show up.

I am just sending a request for the comic packs now.

I found the Spider-Man series Carnage figure that I couldn't find anywhere at retail - it shipped and was in my hands in less than 48 hours, not bad!

However they are located here in Mississauga, so that could of had something to do with it.

I just checked toysrus.ca I was browsing the transformers area and was happy to find the gen 1 reissues that we don't have here in quebec... well guess what: they can't ship it here in quebec for the same reason they can't have em in stores: French labeling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm ticked off!

As for tru closing here... I doubt it. I mean besides them there's only wally that sells toys. THe bay will only carry em on holidays and zellers is doing so poorly in that department that they almost dont count...

Without tru, we're screwed and we'll be at the mercy of big ol Wally...NO!

At least we'll have speciality stores to substain our childish passion

Got my reponse already. Sounds very generic, but still worth a try. If enough of us email them, it might open their eyes...

"Dear Dave:

Thank you for contacting the "R" Us Family.

We apologize, however, the item you are looking for is not available at
our www.toysrus.ca toy store. Please check with your local store for
availability, or search our website at www.toysrus.ca periodically, as
products are updated as they become available.

Thank you, once again, for contacting the ?R? Us Family.

Sincerely,

"R" Us Guest Relations Team"

That's odd. You got a better response than I did. I thought it was going to be one of those cut and paste replys everyone gets. Anyone else try to contact them yet? If so, let us know what they said.

Those are the lamest replies to a consumer email I have seen.  They skirt around the question.
