NEW Special Missions comic

Saw a report on the Canadian JOE con saying that a special missions comic book set in the old continuity is coming out

I haven't heard this anywhere else

did I miss this announcement?

Mark Bellamo ( SP ? ) is suppose to be writing it?

Yes, he was saying that he will be writing the story through IDW, it will have the Marvel run continuity so he has access to all of those characters and the filecards to pull from.  Issues would come out quarterly if I remember correctly.  He has a good handle on the format of the book and keeping it faithful to the way the stories were stand alone in the original run.

cool, did he say what number they would start with? issue #1 or like #25 ( forget exactly what number they stopped at )

I don't think he specifically said, but it sounded like it'd be issue #1 not starting off at the 80's run and doing #29
