Totally Done With Foreign Shipping

SO I set my friend's 2012 CJC set on eBay.  Guy didn't want to pay for more than small packet air.  Which I have since found out has changed frmo insured to not insured after Jan. 14th.  Paypal asked for proof of shipping and gave me 10 days.  I sent what I had and they closed the deal.  I called to complain and tell them they have just given the guy the item for free.  They said they have asked him to pay once he receives the item.......................

Never again.

That sucks man. What country did the set go to If I may ask or which Ebay company did you deal with (Ebay.UK, Ebay.com, etc)?

Sucks, but never give them an option on no tracking on an expensive item.  I hope things work out for you.

BLACK EAGLE OUT OF THE UK.  His feedback is 1448 - 100% positive. Even if he weren't scamming me it would take a rare breed now to cough up the cash once it shows up in a week or so I am betting.  On eBay.ca

I finally stopped hearing from our wiener friend in Singapore a while ago.

Lesson learned.  Expensive lesson.

Well, I'm sorry to hear that. He may pay up when it arrives, but in the future I woukd suggest shipping with tracking. I don't ship anything without tracking anymore. It cost me some business, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Even on a $10 order.

I hear you and I often would ask for the same things he asked for.  I would shrug when sellers would insist on the higher S&H costing option.  No longer.

On a plus side, if it were truly lost then everyone's 2012 CJC became just a little more rare............ ;)

I think more than half the people out there would pay up. If this guy has 100% feedback I bet he's in that half. I can understand how you'd be fearful being involved in it, but I bet he makes good. Hang in there!
