I really like them, there's just no way I'd pay that kind of money for 2 figures.

hmmmm having some issues with these guys even holding their guns. Is anyone else having a problem with the alley viper backpack holding that? ...well...I'm not sure what it is really.... not the compact gun but the other one. What is that thing?

As usual, just a week or two behind Ontario, but I  just checked out my local Zellers (KP mall) and they had them. Same price as everywhere else ($39.99) On the top shelves right above the star wars figures.  I'm assuming this means they'll be in all the Zellers.

General Joe Talk / Re: GIJOE Movie Reviews are pouring in...

I've got more of a feeling that I've seen all the best parts of the movie already from all the tv spots showing daily. Hope that isn't so, but I had watched Paul Blart: Mall Cop, and really all the funny parts I had seen on the tv spots. Rest of the movie: not very funny.

For me there a fine line for advertising but I think sometimes you have to leave something for your viewer instead of the usual "oh they must be the scene where...." etc.

I'm going to assume its the Sunbow cartoon.  They had this a little while back already, didn't they?

I never saw the DIC episodes, for whatever reason. they should get those.

I think quality is probably the most important thing, but also for me there's a certain awesomeness that the toy has to have. I never really looked at Sigma 6 because I didn't like the scale, the new sculpt figures were meh! at best. I love the the 25th because they are awesome! its like getting the original, but not.

To me its awesome that I can get all my childhood toys that are familiar and I wanted as a kid, yet at the same time get something totally new. The new movie figures are cool but they don't have the same awesomeness as the 25th figs (although I really like the tons of  accessories they come with)

So if Hasbro sold them it would really depend on what the company did with the license. Keep it awesome, good quality and in the 80's for me and I'm loyal to whoever.

Excellent newsletter all around. I like the picture with the kid, huge smile, and why not that's a pretty sweet haul. I like that idea from Hasbro.

Mike are we going to get any pictures or an idea of what this display is going to have? (I'm curious about it, but since I live in Winnipeg I don't think I'll be dropping in.)

Are those cd  holder grills from a computer subbing for prison bars in the EE comic?

Nice.  There are some pretty cool sets, in there.

I kind of wish they'd release the old toys under the 25th line also, though.  It's nice that they're coming out at all - but it'd be nice to have them in the original 25th paint schemes.

I agree.  I'm not collecting movie figures but I want those small stations.
