Now that I`ve ran out money and space, LatinJoe22 told me to sign up here, and since I always do what people I`ve just met tell me... here I am.

Really, why don't you send me your collection for inspection?  :shifty:
Welcome, hope you take an active part in posting on the site.

I find the blue a bit much.
Its the first thing I notice and then I notice there are words in gray boxes. This may look different if your planning on putting a lot of images on the page, but right now the background color is to... bold? :- but especially if your planning on putting all your text in black.
Just my two cents.

This is the same layout as Eternity Comics? Is this a second store?

Manitoba & Saskatchewan / Movie Joes in Winnipeg
« on: July 02, 2009, 04:29:15 PM »
For those interested. Both Tru and Wal-Mart on Regent have stocked up on the movie figures and vehicles.
Wal-mart had a couple of steel crushers, nights ravens, while Tru had those, plus the smaller vehicles (i.e Snake Trax with Scarp Iron etc.).
Prices are same as would find anywhere else in Canada.

Interesting to see the Ice Viper with one of the torpedoes from the Cobra Wolf. Is it now some sort of motorized ski?

I left everything as I'm not collecting the movie stuff, though I was tempted bu Storm Shadow who just looks excellent. I'll leave my joes set in the 80's.
(I just know if I buy just one thing I'll buy more and my wife would not be happy :( )

Welcome.

I'm sure several people here can help you out with those cards. Looking forward to reading what you have to say.

excellent newsletter again.

I also liked the screw guide, as I'm probably going to tackle my bag of broken figures. I really enjoy all the how-to guides that you guys give us.

Interesting look at the (yet) unreleased Destro resolute figure. LOVE his MARS briefcase. Keep those reviews coming.

I'm awaiting for the massive onslaught of Joe merchandise for the movie to begin (and then go on clearence )

I don't know, I think this will be movie really about action and explosions, the plot seems about as good as the original 80's cartoon episodes. I'm going to watch it and just watch it on its own merits as its own movie.

are you talking about for toys or just to go see?
Toys, I usually hit the usual TRU and Walmart in my area. Also Galaxy Comics on Henderson. I'm sure there are several other places to go
As for other sites to visit, most people will say to check out the Forks and the surrounding areas, look up the Red River Ex going on till June 21 (www.redriverex.com). Folklarama is starting up soon I think.

Check out Paddlewheel boats (www.paddlewheelcruises.com) for something else. (depends on your age, during the summer the ship turns into a floating party boat - its hot, crammed but a lot of fun if your into drinking and dancing, at least they used to do this if I remember correctly)

Hit up Osbourne and Corydon for the night life restaurants.
The Assiniboine Park Zoo and Botanical Gardens etc. are cool for family

If you have some time  and the weather is nice check out Grand Beach outside the city on Lake Winnipeg. Its usually busy but its rated as a pretty good beach throughout North America.

shoot, I was in Grand Forks North Dakota about 3 months ago and literally I saw about a dozen each of the Rattler's and Conquest X-30's. Just picked up one of each for myself. Should have asked if anyone wanted one. I'll have to remember for next year.
