Introductions / Re: 20 year collecting hiatus now OVER!
« on: July 26, 2013, 07:01:51 PM »
Yeah I can relate...It started for me the same way, getting about 10 of my fave joes from the 25th, and placing them with ones I still had as my collection as a kid. That got me to get out my old joe stuff and transformers, and one summer I decided get parts for my rattler and whale to complete them...then the POC and 30th lines came out and I got my fave figures from them, was totally impressed over them compared to what was lacking in the 25ths....it all came back around again to my 80's joes in collecting the ones I didn't have and in some cases get parts for joes that needed it, and sometime a new joe entirely from the one I had...I found getting the vintage joes was my #1 thing and the Modern Era joes was #2...made allot of good friends on here, that helped me out with my collection. When special occasions come along I get another vehicle or accessories, like this christmas from hubcitytoys.com I got my 1983 HQ and earlier this year I complete my original 13, and a good bud on here sold my his collector's case for them.

Happy collecting 3400!

Yah..I remember 5 years ago i had six 25th ann. joes from walmart, thats it!.  And the pimp daddy destro was topping out @ 400$. It totally dicouraged me from getting more into collecting more 25th stuff back then because it was SO EXPENCIVE. But 9 months ago i was able to pick up the gold p.didi destro for 100$ MINT! I picked back up collecting the 25th line. Now i have 112 figures both canadian and u.s card. A few 7 packs, dvd set, one 5 pack, and 8 vehicles plus the ultimate battle pack. I got bit by the bug BAD!. Well..no wonder..? With the prices so low now a days. Im not rich by any means. I just try to get 100$ or 200$ worth of g.i joe stuff every week. And after only 9 months i dont have very much further to go till i have everything in the 25th ann. line. But i know its gonna be a pain and expensive to score a rowdy roddy pipper.!  The yellow stalkers are on ebay every once and a while so that one shouldnt be to hard to get..
