Very nice! I dig Comissar Stetson. I'd love to see that custom in person sometime. That is one rad mountie custom!

Thanks. I wanted to do something a bit more in lines with what a mountie would look like on the Joe team, not just repaint a marine dress Gung Ho. Unfortunately, it really isn't very smooth paint application or sculpt work. I might call this Stetson beta and try again.

I loved it, showed it to all the guys at work, they however think I am insane for getting excited about seeing Canadian Joe Meet figures in action.

Before I forget again, I have to give Justin "General Hawk" Bell credit for the photo of Black Ice that appears on the monitor. I tried ten times yesterday to take a picture of Black Ice, but between the flash and the focus, he never looked right.

Ryan, you could've just asked for my "Freezer" Black Ice photo ( http://www.joedios.com/dioramas/showima ... geuser=270 (http://www.joedios.com/dioramas/showimage.php?i=2251&catid=member&imageuser=270) ).
It might not be as clear as Justin's shots, but isn't that the whole purpose of Black Ice?

Looking at those Big Ben arms on Scramble... I'm going to go on a limb and say that's going to be our Canada Pride?

Geese Jay, why bother taking the pics if you don't tell us where to see them.

Great work, and the pic is very clear. I just hope that the strawberries didn't melt too badly.

Mmm. Strawberries.

Ok... What are the chances of getting 'Joe' to me before I leave for vacation?

Who has him right now?

I'd like to take him with me... he'll be in Calgary, The Rocky Mountains, HopeBC, Toy Traders in Langley, BC - and on a cruise hip to Alaska...... so he'll be in Alaska as well.

Plus I'll try to get a pic of him on the plane AND clearing customs.

Since I'm back, and Denise goes back to work on Thursday, I'm going to start work on 'my end' then.

It contains two parts.
1. Photo Album (small)
2. Dio-Story continued! (With some cameos and cool backgrounds!)

Next to get "Little JC" will be MadMan.  (Going from Scrambles list)
MadMan, please PM me your mailing info....... I know I have it in my past orders, but this way would be SO much easier. ;-)

I'm also going to set up a section on the front page with a list of who is signed up - so whoever has that info - please send it to me. ;-)

I'm not volunteering, for the sole reason that I don't own a JoeCanuck figure, and combine that void in my collection with a penchant for procrastination might mean that I'd never end up sending the figure to the next guy in line.
So I'm avoiding problems by just not entering.  :shifty:

No biggie.

I'll pop me onto #2 - and if MadMan is next, just LMK.

Either way, Custo - you're in Montreal right?

It's an actual traveling figure.
This fig that I have has now been to Montreal, Hamilton, Calgary, Revelstoke, Golden, Field, Boston Bay, Salmon Arm, Kamloops, Surrey, Cloverdale, Langley, Vancouver, Ketchikan, Jeneau, and some other places in Alaska and British Columbia.

It's the same figure. ;-)

My part is done..... I have to hand it to those that do Dios. It takes alot of work. This is the first one I've done.... and after you've all read it - it's most likely my last! ;-)

I had to change my 'storyline' because it was geared to him going back to Montreal....... damn you Dave! ;-) (kidding).

I"m going to start a new thread that will list each one in order - but we'll keep them going in here.

Chapter Two is here (http://http://www.joecanuck.com/travel/bht/bht1.html).

Trust me.... it's not a great work of writing by any means!
Mike

Mini-Update:
The pictures of the 'Cliff' were actually a part of the Rockies. While dribing through them, I spotted this one portion near a turn that I KNEW would work for this. So I stopped, and started taking pics - there is NOTHING but a LONG LONG drop on the back of this little rock-hill. I nearly dropped 'Agent Buck' down the other side. On the cruise ship, JoeCanuck AND my camera nearly went for a swim with the whales. Just thought you'd all like to know. ;-)

Good stuff, Mike. Doc Brown as Scalpel iced the cake. And here I thought JoeCanuck shot Rumbler in the ass. The highlight for me was Joe enjoying some Robot Chicken on the flight.

I can't say I quite followed Black Ice's nefarious plot, though. He messed with Joe's plane tickets to get him to Vancouver, where Black Ice actually was?
Title: The Adventures of Joe Canuck! (ongoing discussion)
Post by: Agent_Loop on September 22, 2006, 11:05:19 AM
Hahaha, that was purely a Doc Brown moment there!
Joe Canuck seemed to have an awesome time at the west coast. It made me wonder who had the better time, Mike or Travellin' Joe?
Title: The Adventures of Joe Canuck! (ongoing discussion)
Post by: BHMike on September 22, 2006, 12:57:06 PM
Yeah, I shoulda put more into it that Black Ice was just trying to get Joe out of Ontario so he could destroy Oktoberfest! :shifty:

Doc was always a constant in the story. The only things removed were Capt. Stubing, Mini-Mike, and Frostbite.

Joe is in K town now. He arrived safe and sound yesterday and will be staying with me for the next few weeks while I work on chapter 3. I really think this idea of building on each other dio stories. I told Sheryl I plan on playing with my Joes this weekend (instead of just making customs and leaving them on display) so I'm sort of looking forward to it. Still trying to figure out my story. I have a rough idea of what I want to do, but that's all. I'm hoping it will all fall into place once I start.

So with that in mind, once I'm finished with him I'd like to know where he is going next. I need to know how to end my chapter.

I would say don't end it based on where it's going.... the next person may not want to do a dio (you don't HAVE to Dave!)

If you read the 'chapters' so far, JoeCanuck says he's going to Monteal - then ends up in Hamilton to catch a flight out west??!??

I should of included something that brought him from Montreal to Hamilton.

I plan on starting chapter 3 this weekend. I'm going to open my Cobra Mountain play set (finally have a reason to open it) just in case someone else doing another chapter wants to keep continuity and have similar backgrounds as other chapters. Totally up to whoever makes future chapters. This doesn't mean I'm not going to be using a mess of customs 'cause I am. My take is each different city can have different offices of Joe agents.

I've been think about this a fair amount and I think it would be cool if we could work on something Loop wanted to do at Joe Canuck before. If possible I think it would be cool to shoot a future chapter of this story at the next Joe Canuck meet. Just a thought.

I liked the idea, Loop even set up a base camp scene, and then nothing. I can't tell you why, but no one took even a shot.

Maybe we needed to write the script first.

I wouldn't mind helping set-up the camp again for next meet, the tools are still here. Just as long as more people would help participate. I'm sure we'll have even more people coming to the meet, especially from the States.

PS- I'm heading to the UK from the 12th to the 19th...maybe I'll bring my Joe Canuck and Black Ice along and create some side story.

  Er, I'll try my best but I haven't even unpacked the figures yet and was hoping I could score a set of Bob and Doug Mackenzie at this weekends toy show so my cast isn't locked in place just yet. That would mean I'd have to get the little man in the mail on Tuesday, October 10th. I can't make that promise but Loop, PM me your address just in case I can get it done. I have my Oktoberfest shots done and my intro shot but not the beef of the story. I could probably get him to Loop via Purolator, next day service and then he could ship him back to me when he gets back to finish but the down side is that's going to start getting expensive (probably end up costing me $20.00 in shipping once with purolator and once with registered  mail for the second time mailing). Still, I understand how cool it would be to have him go to England. In fact, a small part of my dio story has a reference to England.

What do you guys think? I'll need feedback tonight.

It's up to you Dave...I'm set in bringing Covert Black Ice with some of my field agents to the UK. $20 seems pretty hefty and it would suck if you spent that money and it doesn't get to me by tomorrow. Thursday I won't have time to stop by a Purolator office to pick it up. The Purolator they get me to pick up my package is quite a far distance from my house and the opposite direction from the airport.

Ah nuts. I was hoping they could have it taken to your house. I'm not going to be able to get him to you by Wed. I was thinking Thursday. Well maybe you could work it into your story that air Canada lost his mask on his way to the U.K. and he had to wear his spare (ie - the head we all have).

I liked the idea of him hitting another country. Maybe we can get a list of when people are travelling to cool places for the future. I keep telling Sheryl that in 6 years when we hit our 10th anniversary I want to take her back to Jamica. I'd love to see Joe Canuck (winter outfit and all) on the sandy beaches there.

I'm getting there. I still need to shoot the middle of my story. It's harder than it looks. That and when I do have free time from Dalton I keep getting draw back to Smackdown vs Raw 2006, and I still blame Mike for that addiction.

Yep, I suck! I guess I'll have to work on it when everyone at my house is in bed. Boo! Wrestling denied! I'll try to piece it together in the next week or two. It won't be the longest chapter but it will keep the story going.

When I'm done and ready to post it, can we have the chapters hosted on this site?

Yep.
Toss everything into a folder and call it Morgardee.
I'll upload it and post a link.

'oh, and email it to me.

Hurray! Finally finished chapter 3. Just sent the file to Mike. Hopefully I got that part right.

Anyhow, it was my very first attempt at a dio story, so goes easy on me guys.

Dude... you sent me Bitmap files.

Don't worry, I switched them all to JPGs then made your pages for you.

Why do I want a beer all of a sudden? ;-)

They're up! - I liked it. I laughed a few times actually!

One thing - my flight back was from BC. ;-)

Hurray! Now that is finished I can get back to Smackdown vs Raw 2007. I've barely begun GM mode on that and I need to free up unlimited CAW points for a very special wrestler I'm saving for a one on one grudge match with Mike, outside of the Joe Canuck matches.  :shifty:

Does he rhyme with Boldferg?

You know I thought about that for a bit, but then Mike would have way to much fun making him bleed and probably tap at the end. I went with a little more shock value. I'm not going to say more than that.

Why do I think he's making Black Ice - or me?

What's funny is - people will be practicing and teaming up on me and all that jazz  - and I'm not even playing it right now - so you're all going to wipe the floor with me.

I'm having far too much fun playing Guitar Hero 1 & Guitar Hero 2 right now.

WAYYYY too much fun.

It's part of the reason I haven't been online alot lately.

See.... now I gotta go play Freebird again.

Nothing quite that personal Mike. I thought about making a CAW of you, but then I didn't see that motivating you to make the CAW bleed, so I thought of something I think everyone would enjoy watching bleed all over the mat.

My CAW is known across North America to Japan at least.

Tempted to make another Naked Morgargee joke.

So curious.

Because apparently Scramble wants to me naked in digital, pixilated form?

BTW, anyone besides Mike have any input on Chapter three?

Right, this subject has a topic.

I enjoyed it. Light, plot-driven, great dialogue. Even a JoeCanuck/Black Ice confrontation.

Ok. Who has him and what's going on with him.
It's been another month since an update - and to be honest, I'd like him to show up at the Joe Meet.

Hello?  :shifty:

SERIOUSLY NOW.

WHO HAS JOE CANUCK?

By my calculations, Deashot or Morgardee should be the last ones with him.

I know I'd like to know what's going on with it.

UPDATE???

Well... that's where it gets iffy.

http://www.joecanuck.com/joe/board/inde ... pic=1032.0 (http://www.joecanuck.com/joe/board/index.php?topic=1032.0)

You see, technically, AKpayne was next.
But he's got some issues of his own right now and I don't think he'd be interested in doing this at this time.

Next was AlleyViper. But he hasn't been posting as of late, and seems disenchanted with G.I. Joe on a whole right now. But if he's up for it, he's still welcome to.

After that was Squishy Duck man - and he doesn't post - like ever! ;-)

There were some new guys that wanted to do it, but they've not been around either.

So RedMao would technically get it next..,

We could always start a new thread and get a "new" list going.
This has been stagnet for about 5 or 6 months now.

Hopefully, Raptor and Pete could join in. Or some of our friends from the states like Viperlord and General Hawk. That would be sweet.

That would be awesome. I think the Dio stories would hit a new level of super cool.

I really hope he's up for it!
