Title: GET GAS...
Post by: Raptor on September 22, 2005, 12:28:21 PM
I got gas at Petro Can in Guelph this afternoon at 1.02 a litre (canadian) and the lady behind the counter suggested that the gas would be as high as $3 a litre and I've heard that it's already $1.75 in Stratford/cambridge.

I go through 2 tanks a week commuting, and $3 a litre would be about another $80 a week to me.   :(

I won't go into what a scam this is, but it's going to hurt anyone who's hovering on E right now... Petro can should be the best price since they use NO US refining or supply, and any price raises are just gouging.

A price jump like that would literally cause riots. Still, with the steady decline of the cost of gas over the last week seemingly at an end, now's a good time to fill any extra gas canisters you have and store them away Mint In Canister (MIC) as I like to call it.

Any talk of a hurricane, you better fill up before it hits the Southern USA.  Gasoline companies are using this once again as an excuse.  I filled up at lunch once I saw Charles thread in joecustoms.  I should of done it last night.

There were twenty minute line-ups at any pump still offering gas at 109.9 last night. Which is good, because this morning gas had shot up as high as 111.4 and as low as 109.9.

Anyone else feel like the gas companies planted the rumour to maximize gas sales on Don't Drive to Work day?
