I may alter some weapons or add to it later, but for now, take a look at your 2006 Canadian Joe Meet Figure! ( As I look at this, I remembered I have something to paint still!)
You're all going to have to wait to read his bio and see his file card.
Those that picked up the 'JoeCanuck' figure at the meet two years ago know how good the file card will turn out. ;-)
Opinions? Thoughts?
Keep in mind, he's limited to 30. I'll know within the next few weeks if I'll be doing a 'pre-order' on him, or if he'll only be available at the door.
Give me some thoughts on that as well!

He definitely screams "Black Ice". And the parts look great together. But I'm thinking it needs a pinch more colour. Maybe on the arms or the straps on his chest. Still, I think this will make a fine adversary for Joe Canuck and Back-Stop.
-
Yummy. :-)

I'm not too keen on having the oversized G-36 as a weapon, but other than that it's pretty awesome.
I like the name, it fits the figure quite well. What's his specialty?
And I'm just curious, how many copies of Joe Canuck were made, btw?

Well good thing you're not him then!

21 in total.
20 'bagged' versions, and one MOC version.

That looks f*n sweet, Mike.

Invasion!
Man, this figure really makes me wish my parol officer would let me cross the border. Looks awesome!!

Would you rather have Hit & Run's rifle?

Good point.

I was just throwing it out there as I am supplying some of accessories. Hit & Run's rifle is one of the few accessories considered, since I bought close to 30 packs of Comic 5 (http://http://yojoe.com/action/04/cardedimages/comicpack5.shtml).

Apparently that's no excuse this year as we have what?... 4 people coming from Montreal, and at least three people coming from the U.S.
Get on a plane you wimp! ;-)
Seriously, join us!

Wow. That is DAMN impressive Mike.
Can't wait to see it in person.
-
Hmm.. In your first post you said there are 30, and later on only 21. How many are there for certain?
-
Where do I say 21 Ed - quote me.

And I thought the Joecanuck was impressive, not to mention the Joecanuck card game card from last year. Great job guys
Awsome!!!!!

To clear things up, there were 21 Joe Canuck figures and there's going to be 30 Black Ice figures for the next meet.

Ah yes, my bad.
30 it is.
Carry on. Nothing to see here..

Ed's been getting into the hooch again.
Someone take away his keyboard please.

Nevaar! You'll pry it from my cold dead hands!

Very nice. You guys sure you don't want to organize a hostile takeover of Hasbro, just to put these skills to work for the fans on a regular basis.
If it was within a days drive I would be there for the figure alone, not to mention a little GI Joe comraderie.
-
Hmmm, looks like Raptors been playing with the rit dye again.
That looks really good Mike (and crew). It will have a front row spot on my shelf, just like Joe Canuck.

That would be me playing with the Rit Dye my man.... I breathed in enough of it.... and didn't open a window.
Raps helped me come up with the idea (and supplied the legs/arms), Loop did the artwork, Pete is supplying the weapons, Void (from JoeCustoms) did the casting, I'm assembling it, painting it, and doing the bio & printing of the Filecard.
Not to mention bagging each one.... oh, and a 'new' thing that I did yesterday..... each one will be numbered. I'm getting #1, just so you all know. ;-)

Besides the 4 who put into this project who should all get numbers 1 -4, how are you giving out the others? First come first serve, or in order that people joined the board?
-
Honestly, that's such a minor concern of mine right now I won't know until that day.
My first thought was to just pull them at random out of a bag.

Mike
and that's a good thought indeed.
Really, with a low run like 30 figures, other than "#1", does the number really matter at all?

For those keeping up with things, Loop has supplied me the final artwork for the Black Ice figue Filecard.
Loop is purely amazing, and I encourage all of you to email him to do some work for you! (And Pay him..... ALOT!)
I did the filecard today, and I'm SO digging this guy even more than before!
Thanks.

I already have. He did the cover of my play's programs.
Loop, I love your shading. You're improving as an artist with every new piece you unveil. But, I think we've all seen Empire Records. Where's the speed, Loop? That junk's gonna screw you up!
