I'm hoping for a voice actor. Aside from Larry Hama voice actors are my favorite to meet. Meeting Zack Hoffman was one of the coolest moments for me as far as being a Joe fan.

Same here! I would like to meet Arthur Burghardt (Destro) someday..

I'm definitely part of the voice actor fanbase too. I'd even take an obscure tertiary character like Sparks or Colonel Sharp.

Yet the Manta comes with a red visored Lamprey...which can be used for Snowbank perhaps next year

Not the Mantis Attack Craft, the G.I. Joe Manta from the 80s: http://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/84/manta/

Congratulation, this figure looks perfect.  A lot of people, including me, will be happy with this Canadian exclusive!
The conset is crazy this year!   Hard to believe there still one vehicle to show.

I do not recognize the armor, someone can help?

It looks like the Battler Armour Shipwreck wore in the V v V line when he was dressed up as Cobra Commander and came with the mountain playset. The part that throws me off is the Cobra logo in the middle. From what I recall it didn't have a Cobra logo on it, so while I think I'm close, I also think I'm wrong. Still, look at the Valor vs Venom line. I swear it from someone in that line.

Now where is the head from?  :-\

If they're dipping into the new sculpt era for parts, then perhaps it is the Spy Troops Copperhead chest plate that came with Sgt. Airborne?

Very nice work Jason. I won't say anything but I've been able I think I've been able to put something together now with this years set that makes me very happy.

Hmm. I wondering if we're thinking about the same thing.

Personally, I'm hoping the Cobra North MANTA in the background is not the yet-to-be-revealed second vehicle and is more of a red herring, since after seeing Black Ice, it would seem a somewhat anti-climactic way to close out the set. Not to mention the disappointment of a 5-figure/2-vehicle set consisting of only one good guy.

My first reaction when I saw this figure was HOLY $#!][ !  :o It takes alot to catch me offguard regarding expectations, but this figure blows my mind. I am amazed at how good he looks. Looking forward to getting this set in my hands.

This is truly the only figure that can cancel out my disappointment of not receiving another Canucklehead.

Here's hoping that at least the second vehicle is going to be for the good guys.

Jason,

Thanks for sharing these preview pages with us.

Your skills really shine on these two pages, especially in creating the illusion of depth through different angles and use of shading. There are also more subtle details in these pages than I recall seeing in previous comic issues. Looking forward to seeing/reading the rest!

Are these "silent" pages, or is there dialogue that we will see when we receive our comics at the con?

Two Heads.
1. JoeCanuck (Shown)
2. Tomorrow's reveal.

Pardon my ignorance, but is tomorrow's reveal Joe Canuck's unmasked head, the last figure in the con set, the logo on Joe Canuck's shirt, or some combination of the three?

And when should we expect the reveal for the second vehicle? Just curious.

I'm confused, I thought Mike indicated the cost of head sculpts was way up, but I have not seen any new ones......maybe that was a red herring, like the Chroming one.

Costs OVERALL are way up this year. WAY up.

That sounds somewhat ominous. I hope that you aren't losing money on these sets, despite the price increase.  ???

I don't get the ski mask and t-shirt look :)  Is he hot?  Is he cold?  I guess he does not know!

Although thrilled with getting an official Joe Canuck figure, I wasn't jazzed about the t-shirt/mask combination at first either. However, (ironically) knowing who the base figure is, I've definitely "warmed up" to him in the meantime. And based on THE Mike's post above, I am crossing my fingers that the missing piece is some sort of jacket.

BTW, not that it matters, does the Joe Canuck figure have the same skin tone as Ripcord? It is a little hard to tell from the pic. The only reason I mention it is that for me Joe Canuck has kinda been like the Canadian version of the Steel Brigade trooper in that he could look however you imagine him under the mask. I don't recall his skin tone ever being revealed/shown in the comics.

Regarding the other Canucklehead, if it is Snowbank, it would make sense based on THE Mike's comments about the expense for parts. I could then also set aside my WIP Snowbank custom figure finally.    ;)

I like him....I agree with MJjoe4life......definitely very cool to get a ME version.  Would like to see Snowbank as the other Joe.

Is Joe Canuck the leader / founder or is that Snowbank?

Yes, I agree. It will be nice to have an official Joe Canuck figure, so that I can "retire" my LBC version.

I always thought that Joe Canuck was the leader/founder, but I haven't read the file cards in quite a while.

Wonder what's on his back...
LOL, I think it was a joke in reference to Joe Canuck's "sweet ass". ;-)
