HTS was not a great to buy from for us Canucks.  I remember they charges us above and beyond premium shipping.

I've read also that the 3rd ( and 4th) movies are also in the works still, and that Hasbro IS working on GIJOE products for them.  There's still persistent rumours of a 6" "Black Series" GIJOE line as well, that would very likely be related to the movie.

So as disappointing as this current situation is. it's just a lull.........not a "deth of teh line".

GI Joe 3 was confirmed for 2017 earlier in this year by Paramount along with, IIRC, JJ Trek 3 and Transformers 5.

From what I've heard, they're just out of stock. There's no new Joe stuff coming, so why have a section open with no product? When the new movie comes with more toys, the section will re-open again.

50th Anniversary is Toys "R" Us exclusive.

Why would Hasbro venture into a 6 inch black series line considering that the Star Wars' line has performed poorly and are in clearance at Walmarts? Perhaps this was the original intent before Star Wars sales number were supposed to come in, but seeing the way things happened, I think it's safe to say that Gi joe 6 inch black series won't be happening. It wouldn't make sense anyway.

My understanding is that Hasbro signed a deal to make GI Joe exclusive to Toys R Us. Not surprising that they've simply stopped selling the stuff on their own site. That huge post seems to be a little premature with all the new stuff coming out.
