It was the same price at SDCC as the one on HTS.com - $99.99.

I didn't see much in the way of Retaliation stuff, mind you I wasn't looking very thouroughly. The place that had Duke for 20 and the Data Viper for 19 is the only one I can recall. Didn't see the Dollar Joes either. How much did you pay for those ARROW?

Alberta / Kre-O Wave 2

Macleod TRU in Calgary had at least four cases in stock this morning of wave 2. Picked up a set for myself but there are still lots left.

Most specialty stores get the US cards, it's only the chain stores that usually get the bi-lingual stuff.

I noticed at Target today that they have returned the price of single Joes to 10.99. I would take that as a sign they are not going to clearance them, but might bring new stuff in. One can hope, right?

Good stuff Sundance. Always enjoy your writing.

One small criticism though. 90 minutes in a chopper, even one as advanced as the Tomahawk, would not get you very far up north.

If you don't mind a ten minute bus ride from downtown Edmonton, try the Whyte/Old Strathcona area

Shades of Grey on Whyte Avenue usually has some neat stuff.

There's a couple of antique markets in the Whyte Ave area that sometimes have decent finds as well. This one is the biggest:

Lots of restaurants down that way too, with loads of variety.

I like the single sheet better than the pair.
This would just be personal preference, but if I had my way I would photoshop out the price tags.

If you include the Twins, you may as well find some way to get Zartan in there.

Sounds like these are showing up at Target. Saw the tags myself on a shelf here in Calgary, though there wasn't anything in stock. $44.99 or thereabouts.

General Joe Talk / Dave Dorman "American Hero" art book
« on: August 14, 2013, 11:31:08 PM »
Dave Dorman, comic artist, has a book of production art he did for the ARAH line back in the 80's/90's for sale on his site. 6"x9", 24 pages, $20 + $5 shipping. Limited run of 250 copies auto'd by the author. A bit pricey, but probably won't be available long.

Check it out here:

Just completed a transaction with Propergrounds.

He's a great and trustworthy seller, I would not hesitate to deal with him again.

I will be attending. I have a bunch of tourists in town that I will have to babysit, but it should be easy enough to ditch 'em for a few minutes to do a meet up.

Anyone attending Retaliation in IMAX at Sunridge this weekend? Might be able to do something there as well.
