What are these costing once you get them shipped to Canada?

- 25 bucks for the set (if you are a member)
- 11 bucks for shipping to Canada
__________________________
= 36 bucks

I will get one for sure.  If I go to the convention (it's become a maybe now with these funskool purchases lately), I will up pick more to avoid the shipping cost.

Also, on my last MOTH package, although I paid 11 bucks for shipping, it actually cost 14 bucks according to the USPS sticker on the box.  So I won't be surprised if the shipping cost goes up on this set.

This is a set I might get. They look pretty cool.

I think they are nice figures, but one thing that I am wondering is why they do not 'retool' the accessories that they are missing? I am not complaining about these but I do think the Snowserpent would look alot better if he had the rocket launcher that fit on the side of his backpack.

These look really good!
The blue might be a little too bright - but online images are always misleading in terms of what the colour really looks like.

I  really  like these figs.   Least I'll be able to put a little of my tax money on something other than  bills and savings this year

The blue looks a little odd to me. I haven't picked up MOTH set 3 yet so one day I'll buy both at the same time and hopefully save on shipping.

Got my MOTH set on Thursday.  Awsome figures--- the blue isn't as bad as it looks in the pictures.   The MC grey was utilized well on these figs.  And I didn't have to pay any customs tax for once.

WARRNING - RANT AHEAD

I'm a little p*ssed at the MC group right now. I got my Arctic Adventurer outfit on Friday for this years "free" 12 inch figure. The figure is not in yet from China but they mailed the outfit. That's fine. here's my beef. The outfit costs $20.00 plus $7.00 shipping. I phoned into order it and they said "Oh, Canada? That's an extra $5.00". Fine, whatever, I enjoy last years figure, must be worth it I'm thinking. So now I've paid 20.00 for the outfit and $13.00 for shipping (all prices in USD). The outfit arrives in a padded envelope and what's the stamp say? Cost them something like $1.15 or something like that. Can't remember the exact price but it's at home on my dresser. I expect this kind of crap from ebay but when I pay $57.00 (USD) a year for membership and last month I got the March newsletter, not April and when I called to ask for it I was told "Oh, we only printer so many. We don't have any more. Why don't you download it?" Man, I asked when I renewed this past year if I could save some money and not get the news letter mailed to me and just download it but no, that wasn't an option. I finally convinced them to give me an extra months credit on my account, so I have 13 months, not 12 due to their error.

I'm thinking off calling them out on the shipping thing. They basically made some $11.xx (USD) for nothing. Again, I expect this from ebay but not from a club that I spend good money on every year to be a member. I could understand making a buck or two, but eleven dollars? Total crap. Imagine if I tried to ship something to one of you guys and marked up the shipping like that. I would be outed for that, and rightfully so.

So the question is do I want to make this complaint a public form complaint on their message board or take it to private email? Do you guys think I'm right on this?

Do it private.  People get their backs up if your air it public without trying to do it private first.

And I thought I was the only one who thought MC shipping quotes lately were getting out of wack.  And they shouldn't be declaring 20 bucks on something that is suppose to be FREE.  I have been screwed on duty tax for that in the past and I wasn't thrilled.

As for the MOTH 4 set, I will order mine and Ed's next month, as I will drop mine off in person to him in July.

Ya Dave.  Just ask them why you were billed so much for shipping when they sent the thing letter post.  It's bad enough paying large shipping charges for boxes, but something like that----come on.   Good way to lose business.

I ordered Ed's and mine a couple weeks ago.  The price they gave me for shipping sounded really high as I went for priority air mail.  But at least I didn't get duty taxed on it.

Man, these figures are sweet.  Better than the orginals in my books.

I guess I should follow up on my complaint about the MC group. After send a couple of emails they gave me a refund of $8.00 (USD) so everything is good with them.

Now if my free figure would show up I'd be a happy boy.

Hey Pete, how much did they charge for shipping for 2 sets?

MC quoted me $19.80 for each set as per the email I got.  I have to see my credit card after this though.

However, under the postage and fee section of the Customs Declaration and Dispatch note, it states it cost $17.30, which sounds about right for priority.  But the little USPS sticker at the top of the box states $2.90.  Clearly something doesn't add up here.

But at least I didn't get nailed with duty tax as the value of the sets wasn't written on the customs note.

I was quoted at $9.95 for UPS Ground within the states for a M.O.T.H. set, and they couldn't give me a price for USPS parcell post(states only), but they were kind enough to tell me that I could continue the transaction and be billed later for an unknown postage amount whenever they figured it out.

The way I see it, if they want to make more money on this stuff... increase the prices on the items they are selling.  Don't try and pull a fast one on people by throwing absurd shipping rates at them at the very last second.  Thats how it gets you though.  Most people just grind their teeth and hit "checkout" after going through all the steps to get there.  Its not like you can just go get it somewhere else either.
