Hey, Who was responsible for the black pogo?
The one give for second place in the speed painting contest.
I love it and want to thank who ever made it.
THANK YOU MYSTERY MAN!!!
-
The Speed Painting Pogo was made by Devilfish, a bashful member of the JC board, and a good friend of mine. He's a miniatures painter that's just recently gotten hooked on the hobby.
It was originally given to me, and I decided to pass it on, because we needed a second prize for the contest. He was unable to attend because the meet fell on his wife's birthday, and he didn't want to get divorced.
Thepogo as a deep sea vehicle was a great brainstorm, and he won the bet that we had that he could make the pogo useful and cool. His next challenge, making the LCV useful and cool might be a bit more challenging. ;-)

Wow, a lot to read but worth it. I like how you had detailed photos of what parts they were and how you got them to work together. This event sounds cool!!!! Master Collector could take some hints from you guys!!! Hope to make it there next year to take part in some events!!!!
Is there a picture of the vehicle with the Driver (Winning figure?). Id like to see it if possible.

Not the best picture but all I've got - the driver is on the left of picture (Death's Head).

There will no doubt be better pics later.

Just thought that I should get off my lazy butt and actually contribute to the conversation here. I'm really glad the Pogo went over so well and grats to slopypantz for the win. Glad you like it man!
-
Lazy here as well. Will try to get some pics of it up with its new pilot.
Thanks again.
-
That Brownie custom is sweet too. Any chance of some pics with driver?
-
That Brownie custom is sweet too.
Ask Viper how sweet that brownie was.
-
This thread makes me super-psyched for next year's speed painting.
Because I'm too lazy to acquire my own paints, its the only opportunity I have to paint figures.

How sweet it was... ;D Almost wanted to save some for later.... Almost.
