Title: zhu zhu pets popular in Canada???

everybody is going crazy over these hamster toys called zhu zhu pets... seems like every child wants one for Christmas, but they are so hard to track down and are going for alot of money on ebay.  Wondering if the popularity of these toys are affecting kids in canada as well???

I doubt it is the popularity.  It's more about hype, supply and demand.

Not a word about them over here, nor have I ever seen them at retail.

I've heard of them - and it makes no sense to me. It's cheaper to buy a damn hamster!

My two kids are the target age range for these, but they show no interest in them.
They would rather have a real hamster!
I have been tyring to find one, as I want to take it apart and build a custom out of it.

You guys are right, they are lame and its just a fad thing.  Thanks for the info
