Transformers Movie
« on: July 02, 2009, 04:32:31 PM »

I'm thinking of taking my nephew to see the new transformers movie next week.  Has anyone seen it, the reviews aren't that good but would it be something a 12 year old would enjoy or myself for that matter--was thinking of seeing it myself anyway.

I think a 12 yr old would enjoy it immensely.

Its really just more of the first movie, writ larger.

Ignore the reviews from the so called professional film critics.  I have read their reviews.  It's over their heads.

It all comes down to this:  If you liked the first movie, you will love the second version more.  More robot action, more battles and no plot dragging, even though their were some holes in the plot.

The movie will be fine for a 12 year old.  There was a couple of s bombs and two dogs going at it for a few seconds.  The movie had it's share of comedy as well, even though Mudflap and Skids get annoying after a while.  The violence was pretty much of the cartoon variety, just like in the first one.

I agree with Pete.

I saw it Canada day with my brother and 13 year old nephew. He loved it.

This is a movie you need to watch more then once because there is a lot going on in the battles. That and half the time I didn't know which decepticon I was looking at because so many of them look the same.

Still, it was fun. I will buy it when it comes out on DVD.

As a huge TF fan, I hated it. I liked the first half. It started out strong and I was really intrigued then it just seemed like it fell apart.

However, I don't suppose I'm the intended audience. I think kids will love it. My cousin took his boys. He said they liked it but he was mad about all the swearing. He likes TF's a lot too but from what I gather he didn't care for the movie either.
