I can only assume you've studied the pics on Yo Joe? That would be the first place I'd start to see if I was missing bits.

Other than that, I got nuthin'

I can't speak for anyone else, but I barely saw the Joe cartoons. They never aired on TV over here (to my knowledge), they were only released on VHS tapes. I've only seen the movie and Arise, Serpentor Arise (which I had for xmas when the parents couldn't get me the movie.).

I liked the HAVOC solely for the appearances in the comics and the prose story H.A.V.O.C. in the Outback from the 1988 annual. Looking at it now, as an adult, I realise how crap it actually is. The main weapons don't traverse, the gunner's hideously exposed to enemy fire and the cockpit is ludicrous with that huge canopy over it.

I always wanted the WHALE. When I was about 11, when the HAVOC and the reissued WHALE* hit the UK shelves, I had the money for one or the other for my birthday. I chose the HAVOC and I now wish I'd bought the WHALE and I could've got a HAVOC a few years back when I was collecting as a complete decent HAVOC would've been way easier to get.

I also wish I could've got a Tomahawk, but they weren't sold in the shops in my town and I wasn't able to venture further afield to get one.

I also remember drooling over the Mobile Command Centre in the Argos catalogue (the wishing book!) for ages.

I remember wanting the Cobra hydrofoil as a kid too. Tell you what, if I'd managed to get my parents to buy me the hydrofoil in 1987 and I'd bought the WHALE in '88, you would've got me taking photos of those two bad boys duking it out on the stream 10 years ago instead of more prosaic pictures of the Night Landing, Devilfish and the AF Boat Patrol!

*The WHALE was originally released in 1985 in the UK as part of the AF line where all the vehicles got generic (crap) sticker sheets and were packaged in Pallitoy style packaging. In 1988 after the line was relaunched, the WHALE was reissued (like the FANG, Stinger and Skystriker in 1987) in Hasbro packaging and with sticker sheets more like the US ones. The '88 WHALE is a different shade of green to both the '85 and US versions.

General Joe Talk / Re: GI Joe: Snake Eyes

you wanna do a Snake Eyes origin movie, all ya gotta do is adapt the Origin of Snake Eyes from the comics and update the references from 'Nam to Afghanistan and you're golden. Seriously wonder what's wrong with Hollywood sometimes.

Prologue: a battle betwixt the Joes and Cobra, Storm Shadow on the Cobra side. His sleeve gets torn, showing his Arishikage tattoo, which Scarlett sees.

Roll title sequence.

Act 1: Scarlett digs into Snake's background. Finds he was in a USASF squad in Afghanistan. Stalker tells her about it from his POV as they walk into a group of Taliban in the 'jungle' of the Helmand river "Green Zone"; Saperstein, Wade Collins and Ramone get shot up. Stalker, Snakes and Stormy get out. They call in a Black Hawk pick-up and get attacked as the helo comes in. First time Stalker sees 'Tommy' has the tatt.

Act 2: Hawk tells them how he met Snake Eyes as he has to break the news about Snake's family when he comes home injured from the ambush. We then cut to Snake's meeting Soft Master in Spanish Harlem, discussing the Hard Master's death. Fade to flashbacks of Snake's ninja training and how he's equal to Stormy. Hard Master's assassination, Stormy on the run.

Act 3. Stalker tells Scarlett how he and Hawk recruited Snake's from his cabin in the woods. She tells how she met Snake's at a Joe hand-to-hand refresher and knew he was a master. Stormy and Snake's clash in Harlem. Foot chase to the El train. Confrontation on the train top. Stormy vanishes as Scarlett and Stalker arrive. Stormy tells Snake's in the confrontation he didn't kill Hard Master and that he's only in Cobra to find the killer.

Mid credits scene. Cobra Commander is seen in the past, hiring Zartan to kill Snake's.

Stinger: Soft Master driving into a nice little town called Springfield...

considering the shit-storm Iron Fist generated when he was cast, as a white guy, based on a white character, because of "cultural appropriation" I'd say them casting a white guy will generate a similar response.

Because *of course* white people can't be good at martial arts and, maybe, even better than some Asian people, like no white kid ever watched a Bruce Lee movie or a Jackie Chan one and took up martial arts and got good at it.
