General Joe Talk / Replacement missles?
« on: August 02, 2011, 02:42:30 PM »
I lost one of the missles from my merauder mech, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a site that took paypal and shipped out specific replacement parts?
They're just the yellow ones that look like an eraser with a long stem..

Customs / poc arctic destro's head + roc destro
« on: July 14, 2011, 06:58:20 PM »
=better destro?

I've had these two figures for a bit and always felt arctic destro had a nicer looking head and when I noticed his "snow cap" was just a layer of white paint I decided I would someday take it off, and today I did just that.
It came off pretty easily with my fingernail and didn't damage the silver paint underneath from doing so.

For me it makes him a better figure, and I feel the shiny chrome app on the head looks better than the figure's matte surface. Not his usual plunging neckline shirt from the comic books but the clothing is still appropriate for him.

So if you have these two figures, take the "snow" off arctic destro and put his head on your roc destro.

Customs / Neat custom animated movie CC figure (not mine)
« on: July 09, 2011, 01:35:21 PM »
I didn't post this in the custom forums since it's not mine, but I ran across this today and thought it was pretty cool.
It'd be neat to see a cleaner version of it, either done from a home made mold or mass produced instead of using clay.
I feel like you could use the 25th anniversary Serpentor (the one with the air chariot) for the torso, and cobra commander's legs with a sculpted foot. I guess the head would have to be sculpted along with a shirt to go over the snake torso.
This makes me want to learn how to do all that stuff

Customs / removing broken peg from figure
« on: June 27, 2011, 11:07:12 PM »
i guess this is the right place to ask. i ended up breaking the peg off a backpack i was trying to use for a figure and can't get it out. i thought maybe useing a thumbtack would allow me to stick it in and pull it out, but that hasn't worked.
i don't really want to dig it out much cuz i don't want to ruin the end of the peg or the hole on the figure.

any suggestions?

Introductions / hello
« on: June 27, 2011, 06:22:40 PM »
hi my name is aaron, i'm 26 from charlottetown, pei.
I'm kinda new to seriously collecting Gi Joe figures but I've had a few vehicles and figures throughout my child hood.
My favorite character is Destro, from the cartoons I've always pictured him as Tony Todd with Sean Connery's voice.

Umm other stuff I collect are transformers, records, comic books, and I guess I collect tattoos on my body.

I'm vegan and straight edge (no animal stuff or drinking, etc) and I enjoy cycling. I have two pet rats.

Recently I bought the MARS trooper 3 pack, and the doom cycle with storm rider from my local hobby store, because Zellers and Wal-Mart have nothing and I've been thinking about those figures for about a year now.

Other forums I post on are B9 and Deadformat.
