25th Custom Compatibles
« on: August 06, 2009, 04:41:22 PM »

So, I want to try my hand at making a few custom figures and was wondering what selection I could choose from that would be compatible with the 25th anniversary styles...

It kind of looks like the new Marvel figures would be interchangeable with 25th Ann Joe parts.  And, I guess, all the old Indy figures

Anyone have any suggestions?  Should I stick to just Joe parts for making customs, or would it be safe to branch out into other lines?

Thanks

I'd say it just depends on what parts you want to use. I'd keep my eyes open for anything in the 3 3/4 range. It will probably be how you tie all the pieces together.

Could I blend companies?

Like, if I see something on one of the Star Trek or DC figures that I thing would be usefull, would it fit with a Hasbro part?

Come to think of it, I could probably use some Star Wars parts too, if I saw any that might work...  Hmm.  Tomorrow I'll be spending time googling this part of the hobby.  If anyone has some recommended links, I'd love to see them.  After all, knowing is half the battle...
