For Sale or Trade / Re: Black Ice on Ebay (MOC VERSION)

Yeah, very cool.
I want to bid, but I know it wouldn't be enough for what that puppy is gonna go for.  I'm going to re-read for the hint, but I hope it's "the packaging..."   :)

I agree - Marvel wastes awesome villians for essentially cameos.  Venom was cool but his lack of time was disappointing.  I heard they're making a new Daredevil, but they already wasted Kingpin in a similar fashion.
On an unrelated note - is Peter's landlord supposed to be Vermin?

Brought up my grunt 4 mvp in another thread :

What was your first job?

Technically, mine was a paper route.
Then I worked as a Stock Boy at Bargain Harolds.

Paper Boy - classic
Bargain Harold's - EXCEPTIONAL.  That's exactly what I'm talkin' about.  I had almost forgotten them.  I vaguely remember going in there as a kid and just getting lost.  They always seemed to be downstairs, for some reason - at least in my memory.

Snake...and far from thrilled with the description.

Perhaps this explains my affinity for Cobras over Joes, Rattlers over Skystrikers, etc.  ;D

Teacher    :)

Best job in the world.

I guess a nostaliga for toys goes hand-in-hand with enjoying the enthusiasm of childhood and adolescence.

Personally, I find FIRST JOB is always an interesting question too...  (Cashier at a concert venue)

I was thinking a Canadian Dreadnok named "Cold Snap".
I pictured him all ripped and just snapping people's necks...

Very funny!

I love the fact that more than one fig bleeds from his eyes!   ;D
I also thought one of the early BAT-getting-shot images was cool.
Is the next part ready?

There was just one dialogue part that confused me early on.  Apparently Sneak Peek is talking to himself?:

Sneak Peek:Take out that gunner troop!!!

Sneak Peek:what ever sir!!

It was much better than I could manage!  :)

Next year however, each person will HAVE To show photo Id and register for the figure.
Even if you just walked in the door and buy one.
No one will get one unless we know who has which one.
They can do whatever they want with the figure - as can you guys.
But if we have the names of people that buy them to sell them - we can prevent selling to them (or anyone at that address) the following year.

Good idea.  Shame it had to come to that though.
I think I'd pay to hear the phone conversation that 'took care of' that auction though

I highly doubt is was the same person auctioning the Shiver figure and the free table early raid. There were there just to get the Shiver figure....at 9 AM.
Simply pathetic.

No, no!  There were three of us who were early and helped set-up and stuff (all arriving separately) and we would have received 22-24.  The last few Shiver recipients would've been people who showed up right before the opening.  I won't speculate who that would be, but Latinjoe22 and I were amongst the earlybirds (was it that early  :) ) and we were all there in the true spirit of things!

The bright side of things is that it might stir up more awareness of the meet...   ???

I guess the only negative part is that someone right behind them in line probably would have wanted to buy and keep it had they got the opportunity, but I guess that's life.  He got there ealy so he has the right to do what he wants with his figure.  Perhaps I give people too much credit, but I don't assume that he came to the meet for the sole purpose of 'scalping' the exclusive figure...  It's so quick that he must've had it in mind when buying it though...

I'm keeping mine though - 23 has a good home!   ;D

This was the first year I'd been able to make it out, and it didn't disappoint.
Thanks to the dealers who hooked me up with a key figure on my want list and more than a dozen accesories I've been searching for.  The trade table was great and the exclusive fig is even cooler up close.
I even enjoyed the refreshments of timbits and salami sticks!

Thanks to Mike and all who helped!   ;D
