Off Topic / Re: what you find in your local toy aisle
« on: August 07, 2008, 07:09:12 PM »
I second the Hot Wheels thing. Usually there's quite a few of these guys.

One of the things I notice when hunting toys is that they never have what I want (Joes, Marvel Legends etc.) On the other hand they always stock hundreds of toys based on movies that nobody buys. Seriously I have never seen anyone buy a Shrek piece of merchandise.

Walmart only restocks they shelves 4 times a year, one for each season. Occasionally they opt to stock a new item.  They also never clean/orgranize their shelves, the toys just lie in a heap.Totally different then the Walmarts I've been to in the States.

The cost of lego and playmobile is ridiculous!!!! Seriously what's up with that?

I've also found that people go out of their way to hide toys down different isles. (is that how its spelled?) How many times have I spotted something completely in the wrong section. Come on people, either buy it now or leave it alone.

Thankfully gas isn't that bad for me. I've got a Walmart, Zellers, TRU, Superstore all pretty much clustered together, so I park and walk. I won't go check out other parts of the city. That's never worth going into traffic with so many stupid drivers out there and poor traffic flow.

yeah I never owned one either, but would love one.  I'm kinda curious on how Hasbro decides which vehicles they're going to release? I don't really care for the sky hawk at all.

yeah good idea.
On a side note I went back to that Wal-Mart about two weeks later and the note was still there. *Sigh*, now it appears they've actually removed the tags for the pegs so I'm not sure if  they're even ordering more or whether they going to reshuffle the shelves.

Just popped open my new Vamp and see they now have vehicle file cards. Is this something new or have they had this before? Anyways I like the idea. Also I love the little advertising poster/brochure, reminds me of when I first started playing with Joes looking over all the stuff I didn't have and which ones I really wanted. Very nostalgic.

Manitoba & Saskatchewan / Wave 1 Vehicles are here

TRU Regent has the vehicles in stock as of 5:00 pm.  I even left the other HISS which I really was tempted to buy.  All sets were $21.99.

One of the stock guys told me they're moving fast as he's had to already restock them since this morning. Happy hunting.

Couldn't help but smile when I was in Walmart on Regent with my daughter, looking to see if they hopefully  restocked any Joes when someone left a note on the empty pegs, which
read : "Please order, people buy me."
Nice touch.

Welcome!
I look forward to hearing your views and comments on a variety of topics. I always like hearing how people pass on their love of toys to their kids.  Have fun.

TRU Regent has some restocked single figs, Wild Bill, Duke with jetpack, Spirit , at least 5 Vipers and some HISS Drivers, basically everyone from that wave except Maj. Bludd but maybe someone got to him before I checked it out.

How long is the 25th anniversary line going to continue? or  Will it run  up to the movie release and then shift the focus and advertising to movie figures and vehicles?.

Another question, with Marvel Legends build a figure and now GI Joe getting  parts to build the MASS Device etc, would it possible for a build- a- playset? Or at the very least can we get a new Cobra playset?

I like it. Keep up the good work.

I like the IG's. Looking at the animals I'd prefer that they aren't so animated (as in I prefer their mouths to be closed). Over all looks really good, especially the vehicles. I'd like to get my hands on those, siince I never had them as a kid.
