PAST & PRESENT CUSTOM PROJECT
« on: April 08, 2010, 12:39:19 PM »

This is a one of a kind custom thread. It's actually for two customs of the same character but by two different boardmembers, namely NeoDragonKnight and myself, Latinjoe22.

The idea sort of surfaced when we started noticing our own retakes on the Joe Canuck exclusive figures, so after a couple of PM's it was immediately clear that the spirit was: "Hey, I know you're eventually going to customize a Timbit, and you know I'm going to make one too: so why not make a conjoint project out of it, that is, if you feel like it."

Neo's specialty is the 25th style construction customizing while mine still operates on ARAH, so that beeing a major difference in our hobby, it easily set the theme for our project: PAST and PRESENT.

This is the first time we try something like this, and we wanted it to be more than anything an initiave of common goal and team effort while having fun, so let us know what you think. Oh yeah, and for questions of very limited timed, we decided to leave out Snackpack and the box of Timbits for now. Enjoy!

Don't hate me, but when I see Present Timbit my first thought was David Hasselhoff?

haha it defiantly is a David H lookalike ;D
To be honest Timbit was a bit difficult for me to do, I just didn't "get" what he is.  I dont know why but I gave him shades as it seemed a bit more modern for a guy to be wearing them being outdoors all the time.  BTW Joe will be making more to complete our Past & Present collection so stay tuned!

As for ARAH Timbit, parts used were:

  • Head: Sgt. Hacker head (modified, epoxy was used for the hair)
  • Torso: Cutter v.2
  • Arms: Hot Seat
  • Waist and Legs: Shockwave

That Past Joe Canuck is really really good (and I have #5 of the original 20). How did you make it?
