Nighthawks Newest Customs

Here's my stab at Sneak Peek.  However, I am missing his vintage green tower and black box.  If anyone's got extra of those items to trade, please PM me so I can finish off my Sneak Peek with his vintage gear.

You know, I'd buy that if it were made by Hasbro.

Very cool.

All hail the Chrome King's comments  8) !

A modest choice of parts that greatly succeed at doing the job. The color scheme is very discreet and contribute in making Sneak Peek very recognizable. One color that is missing though is the green paint aps from its 87' counterpart. But that doesn't bother me at all.

This is not underdone nor overdone, the touch is just right.

Because of the above, I also agree that this is something that Hasbro would've released.

All this figure needs now is to be fitted with its 87's Sneak Peek's "Periscope". And if you paint black to go with your custom's color scheme, that's still good.

Excellent work Nighthawk!

I'm not sure if it will take it or not but I'd consider giving those parts a black rit dye if you work a deal with latinjoe. Rit dye won't chip and adds to the the play factor of the toy. Keeping them green wouldn't mesh with the rest of your figure in my humble opinion.

BTW, what parts did you use?

Thanks for the comments.  The parts used are:

head: ROC Aqua Viper officer
lower arms and hands: ROC Air Raid
lower legs: 25th Viper
helmet and rifle - ROC Rollbar
binoculars - comic pack Duke
rest of figure - Walmart POC Scrap Iron

I actually have a green Tunnel Rat belt so I might do something to the vest so I can attach the green belt.  Then when I get the tower, it won't look as out of place being green.

That head would make an excellent Scoop or Light foot head as well.

I made an Interrogator before but wasn't happy with the way the head mounted.  The head actually couldn't move and was static in one position (ie. it was actually taped on...haha)

I've since updated it and now he has full range of movement.

Here's how I did it:
I added a Star Wars ball joint to enlongate the neck joint

The helmet is hollowed out to fit the ball joint and excess on the rear portion was drilled out too to accomodate the tall collar on the Destro body.

And here's how it looks on him:

I never thought I'd ever do a Duke custom...other than this minor tweak to fix his arms:

However, he's kind of outdated when you compare him to the new POC stuff.  The new POC Hawk did not scream Hawk to me.  I decided to use that as a base to make a more battle ready Duke and the POC Duke head was such a nice sculpt, I felt I had to use it somewhere.  Unfortunately, the skin tone was off from the 25th one so I give you my new battlefield Duke:

Hope you guys like it.

From a LightFoot fan to a Sneak Peek connaisseur  ;), I totally disagree:

Lightfoot has a very very serious expression, like"please let me do my job, I know what I'm doing!". This head's face looks more like he just doesn't care about leaving a mine behind and undetected for others to step on....at least, it's the way I see it, LOL!
