Marvel legends ninja?!
« on: July 29, 2006, 10:58:11 PM »

Hey folks, I spotted a ninja among the various ML figures in a picture from the SDCC.

The big question is: anyone know in which wave he'll be and when he's supposed to be out?

The small question is: who the heck is he? A ninja from the hand maybe? If so does it mean we'll get a minion wave?

I think he is going to be in the waves that will be out after the Mojo wave. The last Toy Biz series.
He will proably be a pack in figure, only 5 or 6 POA, and possibly not as tall or painted as well as the regular Legends figures.  As for what comic he is from -I am not sure, I think I remember him from a wolverine/x-men comic in the mid 90's but I could be way off.
I think they are also doing other figures like the grunts form the HellFire club etc.

I remember a Daredevil mini-series that had ninjas in it...look similar to the figure, but the art in the comic was a bit more stylized.

Good Lord, that a Storm Shadow (V2) LBC if I ever saw one. I hope those aren't hard to find because I've got some white paint waiting for one of them. If anyone does see those pop up then please PM me or post it.

The other minions are cool as well...might be usefull to use against a Kamen Rider figure....

Lets just hope that this wave will indeed come out and wont be cancelled...

Alas, the Ninja is a member of the "Hand", which was part of the Henchmen series that were originally slated to come as pack ins to certain Marvel Legends figures.  However, the Henchmens concept died in the design room, and they will not be released by Toy Biz.  Whether or not Hasbro picks up the slack, I don't know, but as it stands now, the Henchmen series will NOT be released.

Toy Biz was just showing the proto figures as kind of a sneak peek at some stuff that will not get produced.

It's too bad, because I think they had some great potential.
