Title: ML Fantastic 4 Boxset at Giant Tiger
Post by: BludChylde on July 07, 2006, 10:27:05 AM: Hey guys, I saw the Fantasic 4 box set at Giant Tiger yesterday. They had about 7 on the shelf at the time and they did not have the variant box set (different Torch and clear Sue). Price was 19.99.

May get one if I can save up the money for it.

Post by: akpayne on July 07, 2006, 03:52:04 PM: I am assuming this is the set with Dr. Doom, Robbie the Robot along with the Fantastic Four - not the US Wal-Mart exclusive box set that only had the core 4 members in the dark blue costumes.

At $19.99 that is a good price as you get 5 Marvel legends - plus it is one of the few ways to get the Invisible woman.

Post by: morgardee on July 07, 2006, 04:37:40 PM: I saw no Doom. It was the original 4, Mr. Fantastic with changable arms, Thing with overcoat, Sue with a real goofy face and clear red Torch.

No idea if this was the US set you mentioned. I don't follow ML that close. I just look for cheap figures I can turn into Joes. :thumbsup:

Went to Giant Tiger here in Mississauga, and they didn't have any - and the stock boy who was restocking the toy section, had no clue what I was talking about :-(. I might be driving to Kitchener within the next week.

Picked up two, the paint version of these figures is way better than the other version, and the clear/red Human Torch is a nice effect.
I also like the Thing with Trench Coat and funky sun glasses.

I saw some at my Giant Tiger just this morning. I stop in after work and pick you up a set if you want, assuming they are still in stock. I doubt they've sold out yet. PM me.

Last time I shipped a set of these it cost almost as much for postage as it did for the figures so if you are coming to the meet this year I can just bring the set then. PM me and we'll work out the details.
