Title: removing broken peg from figure

i guess this is the right place to ask. i ended up breaking the peg off a backpack i was trying to use for a figure and can't get it out. i thought maybe useing a thumbtack would allow me to stick it in and pull it out, but that hasn't worked.
i don't really want to dig it out much cuz i don't want to ruin the end of the peg or the hole on the figure.

any suggestions?

heat up a needle and it should work

thanks. i'll try this
