General Joe Talk / Re: the evolution of Action force and GI Joe
« on: February 15, 2011, 04:15:11 PM »
                Oh man Gunhoeddie,

Thanks a tonne for the history lesson, and posting all those truly
awesome pictures of your own collection.
I hadn't looked on this particular thread for a bit, so I missed it.
The Triad space vehicle looks very cool, and totally different
from anything I have seen related to NA Joe vehicles.
It was so interesting to see that in 1985, the UK Action Force
literally became Gi Joe.
If you have anything that you just want to get rid of, let me know.
I would be more than happy to take them off your hands. lol

Cheers
Dale

Items Wanted / Gi Joe Extreme
« on: February 14, 2011, 06:19:04 PM »
                   Hey all,

It's me again. I just watched the first episode of the cartoon today,
and I love it. Iron Klaw makes Cobra Commander look like a nice guy.
The action is........well, EXTREME. lol
If anyone has any of the figures MOC(or at least on card). I really
want Iron Klaw V1 and Lt. Stone V1, but would be very happy to
take any other figure as well. Any vehicles would be great too.
Let me know if you have any, and how much you want for them.
Or at least, where I might be able to get them, except for Ebay.

Thanks
Dale

General Joe Talk / Sigma 6
« on: February 13, 2011, 05:22:13 PM »
Considering that I haven't watched any Gi Joe cartoons since the original ARAH,
or collected anything since about 1987, I have had some serious catching up to
do over the last month.
I have to say folks that I really like Gi Joe Sigma 6, the cartoon and toy line both.
The toys remind me enough of the original AT Joes from 1970-77 that I played
with and loved, and I think the cartoon is awesome. I also like anime, so that
could have something to do with it, but I think the action is awesome.
Anyone know where I might still be able to buy some of the toys in Toronto,
Pickering, Ajax????

I agree. After watching the trailer I can't wait to see this.
Looks like it might actually be better than the X-men.

Very cool. I would love to own an Action Force piece one day.
Love your site.

Considering that I have just started to collect, I'm totally stocked by the
upcoming line-up. Hmmmmmm, what to get. EVERYTHING. lol

I have actually never heard of these, but I can say this.....good thing they didn't go ahead with it.
They likely would have been cool for the 5 year olds, but that's about it really.

Yep, forget True Heros folks.
Check out www.powerteamfigures.com for the full website.
Now, these toys look damn good, and are the exact same
scale to the tee as Gi Joe.
Some great and quite original figures and vehicles as well.

Cheers

Yeah, you are right. The Team Elite looks to be much more along the
lines of Gi Joe, certainly where quality is concerned. Thanks for the
heads up about this other line.

Discovered that TRU has a new exclusive line of toys and figures out
called True Heros, which they have replaced Gi Joe with. You cannot
buy Gi Joe at TRU anymore.
The sets and toys are BIG, and perfectly scaled to fit into the Gi Joe
world(hmmmm). The prices are very low for what you get. Most sets
include 2-3 figures along with the Tank, Helicoptor, Boat etc etc.
I think everyone should at least check these out. Looked pretty decent.
