Actually LJ, it may be more encouraging to hear from those that have attended the Friday night, instead of me.

Sorry Mike. Point taken. I only meant that I thought you are better placed to let us know if something has changed in the formula compared to last year's.

One thing I did enjoy about the early bird is getting to relax more on the next day and enjoy the day's interesting program such as meeting guests and attending the Hasbro panels. Because I can never get enough of the dealer rooms and one day is never too long for me IMHO

No worries LJ. It's just that I have other things to take care of and I'm basically "working" the Friday night each year - so you guys that do attend Friday can usually explain things much better and faster than I can.

Don't worry, if anything changes on the Friday, I'll post it well in advance...

My first guess is Wrestling. I was the last trophy winner. I'd get a kick out of it coming back. Sorry Ryan, I don't know if I still have that belt I won off you last time.

Friday sounds like a good time.  Don't think I'll be able to make that though.  Plans was for my buddy and I to arrive Friday afternoon, go to the Yankees / Blue Jays game on Friday night and then to the convention Saturday AM.  Sure, I'll get plenty of time to meet people on Saturday / Sunday morning though.

If Wrestling comes back, then It would be my pleasure to challenge Pdaat for an imaginary beatup yellowed defiant and even tag team for the title: Morg, whatcha gonna do when the strongest Mambo Lego Maniacs run wild on you! 

But aside of that, a wrestling tournament or a speed painting contest take some serious amount of time, no? It could span longer than the early bird event itself, no? How long did the previous wrestling tournaments use to take? A custom display seems more feasible during such a short time frame.

Maybe The Mike spoke about something else or something we're missing, nevertheless I can't wait to find out what it is.

Does Porter fly into YYZ? Thats the nearest airport to the con, and theres a free shuttle bus to it.

Actually, I believe Porter just flys into YTZ, not Pearson. 

I am going to the Blue Jays game on Friday night, so I am staying in City Center.  I believe that is a closer to the Stadium.

How much of a hassle is it to get out of town after the game?  I'm thinking of going to the Sunday game.  But if there's a lot of traffic to deal with, I'll probably skip it.
