Whiteout?
« on: April 27, 2010, 05:30:41 PM »

Ok, am I missing something here?  I've recently heard of and seen pics of a RoC figure called White Out that looks like a Snow Job repaint.  Who is this guy?  Did you guys up north get a figure we didn't?

He's a figure that hasn't been released yet...maybe July or August. Right now, it's being sold by an Ebay seller by the name of handytoys for 3.99 each.

according to the listing, White out figure will be relased with a vehicle, handy toy is a seller from ontario, but item ships out of hong kong. i have not had a problem with that seller, but some ppl have, i think their is a thread on joecaunck about him.

As to who this guy is, here's the story.  Back in 2000, when hasbro was remaking vintage style figures and messing up the names and such, they released a two pack with big ben and snow job, which they renamed whiteout.  Here's the yojoe.com scoop:

Hasbro occasionally has named figures after individuals - usually Hasbro employees. Whiteout is unofficially named after Lenny Lee - publisher of Lee's Action Figure Times and News, a magazine about toy collecting.

Oohhh yeah forgot about that Snow Cat reissue.  And from what I remember they even fixed the missile box so it won't break right the hell off the first time you try to reload it with missiles.

There is pic of White Out and the repaint Snowcat (called a Wolf but has the cat logo stickers) in the latest issue of ToyFare Mag.
