Super7 will.do o-ring

https://m.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=JS7fuMzLu3o&feature=youtu.be
That's exciting!
A couple points
- My one condition is It better have all the articulation. If it just o-ring but the legs and arms don't bend I would be disappointed. Maybe they mentioned that in the video and i just missed it. Its always loud in my house.
- Price is still high but better then $50 that most vintage 3 3/4 are going for nowadays and hopefully i can actually play with these things.
- I think I will be very select as the wife keeps "suggesting" I clear out my old stuff because she needs more storage space.
- If its sunbow style though I'll pass. While I enjoyed the cartoon as a kid, once I read the comics there was no going back. Never watched the DIC series but it looks even worse.
- would love to see troop builder sets and diorama sets.

Well it's over, and it didn't fund.

I can't find the final number on the page for the Cobra Mothership, so I don't know what the final number was, but it didn't fund.

I hope Super7 takes this to heart for future releases and takes it into consideration when pricing whatever other vehicles/playsets they have planned for O-ring.

That is unfortunate, but it was priced to high for me.  $100 less it would have been a no brainer.

Unfortunate, indeed, but it was priced too high, especially for international customer like us :). They might have a serious talk about the future of the gi joe brand. Hopefully, the oring will be released as single figure and they will be successful. I would not mind a smaller mothership, the size of a millenium falcon.

Anyhow, I got all the navy figures variation they released and they are fantastic. They are manning my battle platform and they are awesome next to the shark.

So it looks like Canadian e-tailers jumped the gun and accidentally revealed this years SDCC exclusives.   The good thing is we will have an option to get them if we want without having to go to SDCC.   Well as long as Super7 doesn't pull them from the Canadian market for this screw up.

Anyway this year's Joe exclusive (Ultimates) is a redo of the recent Zartan.  From the pics I saw it looks like there isn't much different.  There are some new accessories for an episode specific appearance of Zartan.   The one where Cobra kidnaps the scientist with the heat/lava/whatever tech.  So Zartan will come will a full brown robe, the Cobra headband that mind controls the scientist and the Cobra camera in the basket (along with the horn to make it "dance").   Then the Zartan figure looks to have slightly darker paint.  There was a side-by-side pic and the exclusive is the exact same as the general release but the colours are just a bit darker.

This is the kind of exclusive I am good with.  It isn't an essential character, and as such not something that I feel I need to track down.

So "The Full Force" Podcast had a bunch of reveals from JoeFest (thanks to Brian Flynn) earlier than everyone else.

Looks like the O-Ring line will be called ReActionO  (the O will have a + in the middle, supposedly representing O-ring with the screws).

The first releases are:  Snake-Eyes (v2 in black w/silver mask), Sunbow accurate Cobra Commander, Cover Girl (long blond hair) and BAT (blue, comic look like the Ultimate version).  Then the big reveal.......the Crimson Twins in their business suits!!!!!   In the retro packaging and they will be a Target exclusive so they should be made in great quantities.

Also they revealed a cool repaint of the Super Cyborg SNAKE Armour they did, this time in red, with a red shadow and called the Escape Armour (with accurate English spelling).   Not for me, especially because it is more in line with Ultimates scale.

So not a bad start, now bring on the vehicles!!!

So some early sightings, with pics, are popping up online for the new ReAction + figures (O-Ring).

The first wave was found at a couple Target stores in the US.   Have to say I am not quite as enthused as I was when this was announced.  Mostly because it looks like they won't be touching the original figures, but instead sticking to comic/animation based looks or versions that were never done before.

So while that will be great for characters that have never had a figure before, it also means we likely won't get updates to original figures that Hasbro won't touch with their Transformer x GI Joe line.

Oh and the price was confirmed to be $20.49US (+tax) so I imagine if anywhere carries them up here it will be $25+

Overall I liked the comic "blue" BAT with the alternate head.  I think it is great that both arms can exchange pieces for weapons or hands.   However that version isn't one I will go out of my way to get.   If they do a show accurate version like their Ultimates version then I am down for that.

Cover Girl with long blonde hair is great, and a smart alternate look.   Definitely worth picking up, but they need to do another Wolverine to go with her.

Snake Eyes is not a look I am interested in picking up.   I would have preferred animation accurate colours as the first option.   This one blends too many different looks for my taste.

Cobra Commander looks good, but I am a bit burnt out on CC right now.   Maybe in a couple months I'll be more inclined to consider him.

No sign of the twins yet.

I look forward to have the twins in business suits!!! The other figures look nice, but it seems they went for a safe choice. At least no duke (but I like duke, though) in this first wave. I want: Bongo the bear, Dr Venom, Billy, the giant in the episode in the arena, Raven in o-ring, .... SO MANY CHARACTERS!!! ;)

I'll say again.. if its cartoon appearance, I'm not super interested...unless they were unreleased figures, then maybe.

Honestly, I would be down for as close-to-reissues as possible of the originals, except update the 82/83 figures with a little more detail. I also would want better plastic for hands and feet so they don't break. Keep it to '83-'88 lineup with a smattering of some later year figures. Trooper builder packs would be great. Vehicles too but I think due to small run it would be too costly for me to buy them....depends on what it is.

Lots of my current figures are becoming too fragile and I'm not interested in just setting them up to stand on a shelf and never be touched.

These toys need to be played with by kids, if that can even be done anymore.

For the current images:
- I just can't get excited about twins in business suits.
- Cover girl looks good. Could use some colour on her face to make her look a little less plain.
-  I'll wait for a better coloured snake eyes and bat (you know there's a repaint coming in vintage colours).
- CC looks excellent and would be my for sure get from this wave. I think I like this better then the original battle helmet version. Would be nice if wave 2 had hooded version (are they doing that anymore?)

If these were $15 CDN I'd try and make a go of it.
