I was waiting on the front page as I had a hunch it would be posted there first.

I can't imagine what it's going to go for.  :o

Mike, as usual, you've done a fantastic job with the write-up.  If I didn't have one I'd be inspired to bid big.

My $40 bid was instantly outbid. Not that I expected to win with that...

With 5 days to go, I'm betting you can go ahead and make an extra copy of that DVD....      :)

You'd think - but keep in mind, the MOC 5th Joe Meet Anniversary figure didn't reach $300.00..... I don't expect Shiver to reach that. I think he'll top out around $150.00 to $160.00

Considering it's at $127.50 with 5 days to go, I should go over 200.  The higher bids come on the last day.

I don't get that. I understand people using sniping programs, but the people that WAIT to bid I don't get?.... You have a maximum, it's not going to matter if you're beat before that day, or within the last 10 seconds.

So I log into ebay today to check up on the Shiver figure. In the "My Ebay" section, I notice how many people are on the "watching' list for Shiver.

72?? Wow... I only expect 3 or 4 people to make bids after this one, but with 72.... I guess I could be dead wrong?.....

I know I'm one of those guys watching and it stands to reason a lot of Joe Canuck is as well, plus guys over at Joe Customs just to see what it ends up at. There have been other custom convention figures in the past (swamp rat I think for one) that have come and gone but Black Ice made an impact, so naturally others are going to watch it to see how popular the next figure (Shiver) will do in the collector market.

It's a tight rope to walk. On one hand it's great that people are looking our way, but on the other, if everyone else trys to offer their own local convention collectabiles, then these might start to bottom out as far as "high demand" items.

In the end I know that Joe Caunck is about the meet and not the toy, but  not everyone will see it that way. I myself have ordered the "homefront hero" set from the MC club. So I've bought the toys without going to the offical Hasbro supported meet. Again, tight rope we walk.

Now back to ebay to see what Shiver is at right now.

It's over 300 with a day left.  Not surprised.

I saw that.  I think it had something to do with the "addition" to the auction I made near the bottom of the description.

Guess I gotta make another DVD now.
