I've been wondering how many people here bought something at my table... I had one set up and two friends were watching it. I did very well for the day, considering I wasn't even at my table! lol

Snagged myself a very nice 83 Helmeted CC ;)

Even though GI Joe is a small part of the work Zack has done during his career, you could tell that he was genuinely happy to be there and was humbled by the affection that everyone still holds for the series and his character after all these years.  He was a real class act.

Seconded, for sure.  Heh, for as down to earth as he is I still couldn't help but stumble over my words just a bit.  Maybe a little silly, but I definitely was a little starstruck ;)  I'd absolutely love to see him back again at some point.

Kinda hard to narrow it down from all the great figures for me.  Although Beach Head is my favorite character, his V1 figure could have been a bit better imo.

Alley Viper V1 and Snake Eyes V3 were hands down my favorites I had when I was a kid as I didn't really start into Joes until the tail end of 86 and the new 87 figures were hitting.  It's kind of funny there in that my most sought after figure back then was Sci Fi V1 was also the first figure I bought when I got back into collecting too.

To pick one as my absolute favorite, I'm going to say Alley Viper though.  Not only a great sculpt and great accessories, but after seeing Operation Dragonfire as a kid there was only 1 Alley Viper and he was a bada$$.

Put me in the "meh" camp too.  Other than being unique for its cobra cardback the figure itself just doesn't do a thing for me.

For me personally, a nice 2 pack set at $45-50 is exactly what I personally would like.  But if one of the figs was an army builder.........
well, you know.  It would help make the sets more wanted.

The Snake Byte figure, as said before, made the set after reading the comic.

I thought I'd quote pdaat here since he really hit the nail on the head in terms of how I feel about it.  For me, I'd love a smaller set thats more accessible to everyone that would like one.  Again tho, thats what I'd like to see; I'm far more into figures than I am vehicles.  Like was mentioned above the leftovers could always be sold off, auctioned, etc.  giving those who couldn't make it up the chance to get one.

Every year it amazes me to see how far the 'Con grows and attracts more and more people.  It's come so far from a handful of guys in '04 (my first year) to now.  I've got nothing but respect & props for Mike, Stealth, and the rest of the team that put this together every year.

As always, walking in the dealer room can't help but make you feel like a kid in a candy store with the wall to wall joes.  Its always nice to see familiar faces behind the tables too.  I certainly was able to snag a few deals to fill some holes ;)

Both Zack and Larry for me were enthralling and it really was very cool to here stories from both the cartoon and comic side of things.  Meeting Zack afterwards was a real pleasure too. I can't say much more other than he's a real top shelf guy and easily one of the most down to earth celebrities I've had the opportunity to meet.

Honestly I can't think of much else to say right now other than I had an absolute blast.

Once again, cheers to all those involved :timbits:

Man, I remember catching the 2002 version at the Toronto Fringe Festival; it was quite the experience.  I'm really glad to see these guys are still at it.  It would be pretty cool to see them do a show at next years Joecon for sure, the only downside I could see being its not exactly "friendly" for younger fans.

I've slowly been doing the same with my case too.  The HATE & Deadeye now make a very nice centerpiece to the "special to me" shelf.

Very happy with my #80.

I think the best way to sum up my feelings is cautiously optimistic about the movie.  However after seeing this trailer I've gotta say it has definitely kicked it up a notch for me.

Excellent interviews there Mike.  Seems like things are hitting a fever pitch for this weekend.
