Curling for Heart and Stroke
« on: November 05, 2010, 10:17:23 AM »

Hi all,

Heart disease and stroke are the #1 killers of Canadians. There are a lot of fundraisers that benefit Cancer research, AIDS research, and other ailments as well. While these are all very good causes, the number that die from heart related conditions dwarf most of the other diseases

As such, I participate in an annual fundraiser for the Heart and Stroke foundation. Once a year, a group of us get out and spend a day curling with other teams that are there for the same purpose. It's a great event for awareness and fund-raising for an often overlooked cause.

With that said, if you would like to donate, please do so via this link:

http://www.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/don ... ED1A794CAC

You will be issued a tax receipt in PDF form once you've donated (I believe the threshold is $20 for a receipt) Whatever you can afford is great, or if you can't donate, your support is still appreciated for awareness of the cause!

Thanks for reading, and your support.
