I don't have a lot of information right now on these. But, they don't look like to be the club exclusive. So I'm hoping to see these at retail.

The stuff is supposed to be exclusive to Toys R Us.....all of it. The possible exception is one of the two variations of the VAMP/Night Landing set---which may be a SDCC exclusive.

But this is it.
Hasbro wants us to celebrate the 50th anniversary of a TRADEMARK, but not actually offering ANY product reminiscent of the stuff offered 50 years ago.
Big whoop.

Yojoe has some high-res pictures as well.

http://www.yojoe.com/events/showgallery.php?cat=911 (http://www.yojoe.com/events/showgallery.php?cat=911)

I am not sure why Hasbro is re-leasing the Snowjob, Blowtorch and Low-Light figures.  Those are a waste.

The 3-pack with Destro and Leatherneck is a must have for me.   The Wolf and Vamp packs as well.

Thanks for all the info guys . Just thought id share from my own experience.
Notice on pete the geeks link to yo joe heat viper and night viper have a white paste of somesort under their left foot. I have the retaliation night viper and he cant stand or pose very well. Especially with those cheap retaliation stands that hasbro relrased . Any way i assume that white piece of gum is to help those chars pose.

Toys R Us exclusive but does that mean they are coming to Canada? I suppose I'll have to wait until fall to find out.

I'm very happy to see it and I'll buy it all but unless they are selling those figures in two packs we are going to see 3 peg warmers for sure. Low Light still fetches a few bucks on Ebay but Blowtorch, Snow Job and The Baroness are going to throw off TRU's inventory count meaning they won't be ordering and more once those clog up the shelves.

I hate the hunt nowadays. I'll probably buy them off ebay and be done with it.

Kre-o I'm pretty much bored with and I'm tempted to sell off my sets I already have.

I do wish there was at least one repro 12 inch figure. I know not everyone would have bought him but if the price was right ($10 - $15) I'd buy a boat load and do some head swaps.

Baroness and Lady Jaye are popular enough that I expect that set will sell through as will the B.A.T.  /Snow Job set and the Low-Light/Night Viper set. I expect we'll see a lot more of Blowtorch and HEAT Viper on shelves.

This reminds me a lot of the '97 line which consisted entirely of repaints.

I hope your right because the one I want the most is that HEAT Viper, even if I have to buy a bunch of extra Blowtorch figures. Heck, I'll just rit dye the extra figures I don't want.

I know I'd love to get that Lady Jaye, and Baroness at the very least. The rest look very good as well. The ones that are probably my least favorites are Blowtorch (I'm actually tired of seeing this character) and that repainted Viper (that odd color scheme....what gives?).

Found on General Joes (http://generalsjoes.com/):

The Terrordrome is expensive. I can't imagine how much it will be in Canada... 129$?

Found on General Joes (http://generalsjoes.com/):

  • GI Joe Versus 2 packs (Item 082796)  - $14.99
  • GI Joe Outnumbered Team Pack (3 packs) (Item 082801) - $19.99
  • GI Joe Danger at the Docks (VAMP and Night Landing Craft set) (Item 082754) - $29.99
  • GI Joe Battle Below Zero (Wolf and Sky Hawk set) (Item 082806) - $39.99
  • GI Joe Kreo Terrordrome (Item 085927) - $99.99

The Terrordrome is expensive. I can't imagine how much it will be in Canada... 129$?

Toys R Us always has sales. It's easy to find a 25% off sale on third party building blocks like Kre-O and mega Bloks. I'm not really interested in it but if I find one for $50 I might buy one.

50th stuff is now up for preorder on BBTS as a "shared exclusive". Not much I'm interested in, but would like the pack with Leatherneck and Destro, and an Ice Viper (though not all the other stuff he comes with). Anyone have any idea if these will be coming to TRU in Canada?

Or any update on Kreo? I've all but lost interest due to the lack of stuff coming to Canada. Still seeing a fair bit of wave one sets rotting on the shelves at my local TRU, even after several 40% and 50% off sales. Not looking good for the future of Kreo in Canada.

Out west is a wasteland. Absolutely nothing new for almost a year. I picked up the wave 3 figs minus the army builders and the small sets 3 months ago or so in the US. I finally ordered the Dojo set fron Tru US since I've given up us getting it here in Canada.

You are right... what means "shared exclusive"? With who?

Shared exclusive seems like an oxymoron, but it does make sense. So far it seems it's shared between TRU and BBTS. But you never know. Sometimes the sharing is between online stores, sometimes between 2 or 3 retailers. Never know until a bit of time goes by. Also "exclusive" often is only exclusive in a given country. So these could still end up at another store.

Exclusive doesn't mean "one". It means "restricted to a person or group" TRU and BBTS are that group. :)

Really hard to say, and I'd say more than likely "no".
Retaliation 3.5 & 4 wasn't carried by Canadian TRUs because TRU felt burned by Retaliation product (meaning also GIJOE product in general) after wave 2.
From what my source at TRU has told me, there's no sign of ANY GIJOE product in the computer listings there, but that was a couple of months ago.
He usually gives me a heads up on stuff like Joes coming in.

The thing is that the CDN TRU ordering system isn't set in stone, and stuff that isn't "intended" to come to Canada sometimes does, and stuff that is supposed to be in North American TRUs sometimes is either just in the US OR the Canadian ones, and not both.

In other words, the 50th anniversary stuff is a crap-shoot here.

That's too bad... :'(

Why stores are ordering truck load of peg warmers and nothing that are really wanted? After this, the stores conclusions are that GI Joe is a small market, there is not enough money to make from this toy line, etc.

We are sometimes finger pointing Hasbro for not offering the right toys (Many Duke, many Cobra Commander, many parts re-uses/re-paint, etc.). But in that case, TRU is paying a prime to get exclusive, but is not ordering enough to stock all their stores. Grrrr!

Because Gi Joe IS is a small market for Hasbro. But if you want my opinion in general, I'm noticing most action figure lines hanging longer on the pegs.

I made a funny observation over my last 4 trips to my local wallmart.

First trip: One case of new Spiderman marvel legends on the pegs. Just enough to build the green goblin build a figure and have one extra figure left on the peg.

Second trip: Some brave soul payed 136$ plus tax to build that goblin because there was only the one extra build a figure peace left.

TURD trip: Still only the same 1 figure left on the peg waiting for his buddys to show up.

Fourth trip: 5 pegs FULL from front to back, nothing but new marvel legends. Sitting there not selling.

They will be in the discount section before long. Hopefully there will still be a complete set when they move it to the dicount section. Thank you mystery marvel legends buyer for getting one over on wallmart.

To quote John Lovitz " He's lost his mind and im reaping all the benifites "

I do have a question. Where's the Artic BAT / Snow Job and and Lady Jaye / Baroness sets? I've seen the other 2 packs online but I haven't heard anything about the BAT or Lady Jaye sets.

For Anyone in Quebec waiting on the 50th sets to show in toys r us stores.
Don't wait for that moment it won't happen.
There is no French on the packaging. With Quebec's laws these these sets will never see the shelves in Quebec.
You can't even order them online  to a Quebec postal code.

Check to see it the Kro-O Terrordrome is out for me. I don't wanna drive to Everett just to have it not released in the area yet.

I didn't see the Terrordrome set at the Bellevue TRU.

Confirmed for Kitchener. I've seen the two packs (Low Light / Night Viper), (Heat Viper / Blow Torch), and the two vehicle sets.

Thanks for checking. Maybe I'll swing by in a month. I can't see them selling out.

They still had the Dojo set collecting dust.  So I suspect you are right as GI JOE kre-o's are not flying off the shelves.

I picked up several of the past wave 1 and 2 kre-o vehicle sets while I was there.  Getting them to fit in my carry on is another story.

Toys "R" Us Yonge/Eglinton has the Low-Light/Night Viper set, the Blowtorch/H.E.A.T. Viper set, the Beach Head/Viper/Cobra Officer set and a whole bunch of Danger at the Docks.

I was at the TRU on Calgary Trail in Edmonton, they had a couple of the Eagle's Edge sets, two or three Danger at the Docks, and the Battle below Zero sets. Picked up an Eagle's edge myself, the vehicle sets were out of my budget at the moment. They had the usual QC issues, missing or messy paint apps, Hawk even had some leftover sprue from when they cut him out of the plastic molds. Leathernecks leg was angled so it looks like it's broken. Loved the accessories though, especially Destro's Rifle and Case.

Surrey BC. All the local TrUs are filled with the new stuff out here. Surrey, Langley, Richmond.

*poof!* Gone. All the new stuff is gone from the Surrey TrU and the remaining old movie stock is on clearance at the end of an aisle. No Joe section in the main aisles anymore. I'll try another Tru next week and see if it's being stocked at any of the other locations.
