Wowawewa!  Stopped off at Wal*Mart in Markville Mall, Markham, Ontario again at lunch (I gotta make this a habit) and low and behold the single peg dedicated for 25A figs was stocked full of WAVE 8!!!! in Canada!!!!

I'm keeping the American carded versions MOC (whenever my online retailer gets them in) so I only bought the Canadian versions I wanted to open up for my loose display (yeah I had to pick up another Viper):



Canadians start your engines!

My Walmart sucks! I've have yet to see one 25th figure at it and the peg has since been removed so I don't even know if I should be checking it. I'd like to get a Viper and Major Bludd but I'd still buy the American carded ones off of ebay.

I'll also be getting the US ones but it was definitely cool seeing my local walmart with 2 pegs absolutely stuffed with Wave 8...I was almost tempted to get some!

Saw the entire wave (3 sets) at the Walmart on Rymal Rd in Hamilton.
Picked up my last 25th figure, the only one I still needed, Roadblock.

I'm done. ;-)

Also tucked a complete set away should anyone want it, shoot me a PM.

At Wal-Mart at Keele and Lawrence, found some of Wave 8 ? 2 Roadblocks, 2 Python troops, 1 TF Flint, 1 winter Snake-Eyes, 1 Baroness. Also 2 Vipers, but nothing else from Wave 7.

Picked up the Vipers and Flint (since I missed the first Flint) for myself. Thought about Baroness, but terrible paint job. Was tempted by Snake-Eyes ? he looks awesome in that parka - but I am trying to limit myself to one version per character.

When is Zellers going to get their stock in? There are more of those around then there are Walmarts and Toys R Us.

well there's definitely another Joe fan in my area, went back to Wal*Mart after work today to see if I could pick up an extra TF Flint and Viper and the peg is completely cleared!

Looked around the other toys to see if any where hidden, nothing.  I left about 10 cards on that peg yesterday and it's all gone - wonder who's my neighbour.

I managed to snag a complete '08 wave 3 set at my local Wal-Mart today. And good thing I found the '08 wave 2 set last week as they are gone in my area. 

For any of those keeping them MOC and are collecting variants, the packaging for Cobra Viper released in the second and third Canadian waves is different.  The GI JOE lettering at the top is in silver for wave 2 and white for wave 3.  The crappy figure is the same.

Well, no Wave 8, but TRU Thornhill had some Wave 7 - 1 each of Viper, Duke, Wild Bill and Spirit, and 3 Snake Eyes. I grabbed Wild Bill and Spirit. They also had a couple Flashes and Shipwreck.

Happy I found both waves today, but a little disappointed, no Major Bludd to be seen!
