both jay and morg make good points, but that is just time line morg you got to see the g1 one from the begining where people like me and jay only cought the tail ends of g1 transformers, at 12 years old yes i liked beast  wars better but that was because i liked the cgi rather then the hand drawen stuff but being someone that has episods from both series, i prefer to sit and watch the g1 series over beast wars.

that said neather is goign to change the other persons mind, so just leave it at jay likes beast wars, and morg likes g1.
Imo both were good in their own rights.

Meh, I'm not really a big Transformers fan anyhow. Last one I bought was at CJC 2010 and that went to a 5 year old for his birthday.
