My first chip proof customs! Desert team!
« on: November 09, 2011, 08:48:13 PM »

My favourite: Rock and Roll

Side by side comparison:

My second favourite: Stalker (now I just need to remove that red cross!)

Stalker family picture (from original to custom):

My third favourite: Repeater (very easy, but very effective)

And the last one... sorry Grunt, you look like you were made from leftovers...  ???

What else to say....  ::)

Very cool idea, bet they'll look good in a VAMP mk II or Mauler!
Are you going to remove the red cross on Stalker or cover it up with a badge (like with a Sgt. rank sticker)?

Great minds think alike  ;)

Good question. I don't know yet. I was maybe more planning rubbing it with alcohol or something...

Goof Off should get it off. I just removed a Cobra logo off a 25th anniversary figure on the weekend. I did it outside with "Goof Off 2" which is a spray cleaner, cleaning sponge and paper towels.

They look awesome!
Love Grunt and Rock n Roll. Stalker is cool, but something a little plain...maybe I'm used to camo. Repeater seems the ood man out as the only non-original. Maybe you could add a fifth? Even just throw in Doc and Dusty, as is, when you display them!

I also really like your Grunt but I think th arms look a bit off. He needs short selves with bare forearms, like Recondo has. At lest that is just my opinion.

I also think that something is off with Grunt... but can't put my finger on it!

What I like on him is we get green highlights everywhere (on arms, belt and chest belt) like all these parts were supposed to be put together. Also, I tried to do like Recondo: Pattern on legs with plain chest... but I think Duke's chest is too well known to be re-use...  :( I used long sleeves like Duke had long sleeves.

I think the main problem with Grunt... is his ugly face  ::)   I will try giving him a visor on his helmet!  ;D
