I freakin knuckled under and bought the set (finding someone local to take the hawk off my hands helped).
The QC on the figures is spotty at best. Flint has gloves, but they come off really easily, as do Shipwreck's hands. Certainly an improvement, but pretty far from a perfect "fix" for the figure. The Head on Shippy is much better, but still not really well proportioned to the new body. Again better, but not perfect. The flint head is also a little wierd - the original was better. It does feature fixed hands and crotch though, which makes it superior to the original in terms ov movement and posability.
I can't get Snake Eyes to stand up without the figure stand, and his posture is terrible. The torso joint is a little loose, which makes him stand a bit unnaturally no matter what pose you put him in. He comes with a backpack, but you can't put a sword in it like you could the 85 one, so far as I can tell. The sword is nice, but I've already lost the damned thing somewhere.
Lady Jaye comes with swivel wrists and a 44 Magnum like she did in the comics (if you take it away from Shipwreck, who is holding it). Vast improvement if you can do without the cleavage. Her collar restricts the side to side and up and down movement of her head.
Hawk is a bit better too, with the shoulder things actually fitting better than the single pack release.
