I am letting my imagination take over.
I happened to notice in the bottom corner next to the Gung-Ho artwork. A Killer Whate.

I can't make out who is in it, or what type of figures are on board (new/retro) and I don't know if it is a new photo taken are just a stock image used. But wouldn't it be cool if....
Cossing my fingers.

I posted too quickly, here is a better image.

It includes a Mauler, and the last time I read conversations about what vehicle molds hasbro still had, these two were included.

Hmmm, Aaron you might be onto something here. The artwork cleally shows that the characters depicted are due for released.
-
Woah, that IS the WHALE! And that's some oldschool artwork.
We'll just have to wait and see, I guess. I'm hoping for a 25th VAMP.
-
It actually looks like a still from the cartoon...
-
I don't know. I wouldn't get my hopes up. That could be a retro shot of the WHALE and Mauler and it's just on the display panel just to commemorate the 25 years of ARAH. If they are being released this year, Hasbro would have used a bigger picture for each of the vehicles on display, and not just a small glimpse into the past.

Could be a teaser to drum up interest before they invest in something that big. Haven't they been teasing a Whale repaint since 94?

Pimp Daddy Destro on the back of the packaging? No way in hell this figure is getting reproduced. So I assume the Whale would be in the same boat, just a tribute.

Hasbro hasn't teased the Whale at all... It's only come up in fan conversations. There's an old proto pic, but nothing has come from Hasbro about a potential Whale re-release.

That's funny. I suggested about two months ago they might make a PDD chase varient.
JoeIndex, I guess that's what I was thinking. But you're sure there was no official talk of it in 98?
-
In '98? Not that I can recall, but even so that's almost 10 years ago now. If it's more than say two years out in terms of possible release I tend to file it under "not gonna happen". Going on a decade (if something was mentioned in 98 which I don't believe there was) I wouldn't give it much thought, to be honest.
