The back portion of an '85 Snowcat is really easy to take off (I don't know what later versions are like) revealling the space under the missile launcher to be pretty hollow.  The siren on top is very accommodating for a pair of hobbysize light bulbs.  I've always wondered if the designers originally meant this to be motorized or electronic at some point.
