Excellent show, Flophouse!  I was finally able to watch it all; simply jaw-dropping!  You could do several multi-part episodes on her alone (especially for all the obscure toy lines).

Prime candidate for that show Hoarders if you ask me. It's very organized - but still overkill in my opinion.

I'm with Mike.  In my opinion if your collection takes up "every" room in your house not just a collectors corner/room and you can't display(enjoy)most of it, then it's an obsession(addiction) not a collection.

I did find it most informative though.

I was talking about this with a buddy of mine and he said that one of the reason many rare items can't be found anymore is because of giant collectors like her... Seems like the average collector can't compete.
Maybe he was just jealous :D

To see all those 12" clean Space Adventure sets in one cabinet sure would make any 12" collector envious.

There is truth to this statement.  On ebay, she would drive up prices on hard to find items, and on items she already had bought in the past.  She has a thing of collecting things in two's or more.

Sorry, she has a obsessive–compulsive disorder.  The video footage proves it.  There is no freaking way I would let toys control my life.   They are suppose to help to escape from reality, not to be imprisoned by it.

OMG, as the kids say.
Somehow I don't really believe it when she says she'll be done collecting when the book comes out.

I see your point guys. But, why bother? Some people collect toys a little, some a bit more and other a lot. So? She has the money for it. Fine. I don't have that much money to spend on toys. I do other things with my money; her obviously not. But, bottom line, this is her choice. We can debate on: is it really her choice? Meaning is she addict or not. But what I saw is someone that speaks clearly, she has all her brain, she has a family, she has fun doing what she does, etc. I'm happy for her.

The day when she no longer wants her GI Joes, she will have a lot of money selling them. That is only my opinion.
