Shiver fig problems?
« on: April 15, 2007, 10:07:57 PM »

Anybody had any issues with there shiver figure?

I opened mine today and the head fell off the body.

I tried the normal screw drivers I use for joes, but I can't unscrew the back screw.

Anybody have leg screws in there shiver figure?

Haven't open mine yet.  But I did noticed Shiver didn't have any leg screws either.

There was a slight problem with the two parts of the torso not always 'matching' up.
This would be why the head slid out of his slot.

As for the legs - same thing, the screws wouldn't keep it 'tight', so some Krazy Glue was used on the torso and legs.

If I didn't do that - there wouldn't of been any figures at all.

If all goes well, next years figure will be top-notch, with no glue. ;-)

Richard, try using a smaller size screwdriver. It shoud help.

Sadly you may have to do a 'drop' of glue in the shoulder and 'sqeeze' him shit for a few seconds.

There should be a total of about 3 or 4 that are like yours Rich. Not everyone opens them up, and since it was all done randomly, I had no knowledge of who got a 'mint' one.

Actually, I can confirm that Loop got a mint one - he did the art, it deserves some special attention no? ;-)

Mine's sans leg screws but the torso seems to be fine. Did any of them have holes in the bottoms of their feet for stands? I'll probably drill some for mine.

Only conundrum now is do I display Shiver in my foreign exclusives display?

If you need somebody to assist you for next year, LMK.  It felt weird this year about not having anything to do with the figure.  Then again, I didn't expect work to suck the life out of me.

Thirded. I'm going to set aside time to help this year, and more than just providing screws that don't work very well.

and 'sqeeze' him shit for a few seconds.

And I believe in your instruction post to GS, You meant "squeeze him *shut*" right Mike?

I'll offer my assistance as well, Mike.  Even though life circumstances prevented me from attending this year, I'm still eager to help however I can, so don't go it alone, dude!  ;)
